from my "limited" amsterdam experience - 3 visits... my WORST coffeeshop was NOON... poor, un-polite,suprized I only wanted coffee service from a bartender that was more interested in his locals/regulars (?) than me/us... wont bother going back, not even for the 5g blueberry deal... will try mellow yellow for that (same owners - still (?)...??

I'm also with Zunki... both on priciple and behavour.

at 5ft 11" - 180cm and 15 stone - 210lbs Im not easily intimedated, not if i feel i'm right... it's wrong to trap tourists looking for a good time while in amsterdam. sry for drifting

I'm not saying that anyones right or wrong but I dont like going into a coffeeshop without making a purchase, I'll always buy a drink and 95% of the time buy a smokeable purchase as well, this is just me and the way I do things.

Worst coffeeshop? I dont really have 1 as such just bad experiances in what most people class as good coffeeshops, Dolphins selling me a mixed joint when I asked and payed for a pure one, having to ask a few times for my wifes milkshake in Amnesia when locals came in after us and got theirs first, The Noon for the same reasons that Rez wrote (Yes mEllow Yellow is owned by the same people but you dont get the same attitude) last but not least Paradise simply because every other person whose been there has had a bad experiance my own was pretty good the dealer brought everything to my table (drinks, menu) and when I asked about seeing a few differant types he brought those as well then offered me a better deal on 8 grams of the house special which was actually one of the strongest weeds I've ever smoked.

just to add, on my recent trip i did my best to buy when going in for a smoke. it did mean i had to smoke lots but wtf. when not buying weed i always asked if they minded me smoking my own, i think this really helped. (?)

La Canna for me, the worst ever.

Isn't it spanish for Armpit?

Anyway.... as for buying to sit, no thanks, I do buy in most places and I frequent most places more than once on a trip, I smoke what I have foremost unless I fancy someting new and I'll buy it there.

I generaly only buy in grams, this gives me, 2 or 3 joints at the most per gram..... it's never a problem to get through the stash, What's left at the end of the day is useually polished off in the hotel room at night and before breakfast the next morning.

Bad experience

Didn't like Bushdoctor the day I went. Not much business that day and the bar man had negative energy crackling off him. Might have bought more than a coffee if he hadn't been throwing off those vibes. I kept thinking, does this guy rent this place by the day? Is he worried he's not making his nut? He didn't know I could understand about half of what he was saying (he was speaking a sort of Dutch/Turkish lingo to a really rough buddy of his), and I didn't feel I was in a place that was safe for lil' ol' me. Felt like an object, like a machine that was supposed to be spewing out money and wasn't. And maybe if it had been darker, they would have flipped the machine ondersteboven to see what would drop out of his pockets.

Black Star on Rozengracht is the worst one I've been in. Gave different labels to different weeds but under closer inspection, all looked to be the same. Didn't realise at the time that the far superior Paradox was only a minute of so away.

Dude at the counter had a bad attitude both times we went. In fact the last time he switched out herb on us, and the girl bitched about making a hot chocolate. I wish my experience was like others'

My worst coffeeshop has also been Bushdoctor, felt very uncomfortable in there, it was filthy on every floor and the guy behind the bar had a real 'dont give a shit' attitude.

Can't think of any other bad coffeeshops, I guess thats because I've used this forum enough to know where to go, didn't like Bluebird much mostly because of the crowd that was in there, had their Sage n Sour which was disappointing.
