Found this great site doing some coffee shop searches. I haven't been to Amsterdam in over 20 years. The first time I was there was in 1969 and sat at the de Dam smoking hash with hundreds of other hippies at the time. Taking my wife on her first trip to Europe. Had to make the Dam our first stop. Go figure.... We are old stoners, classic rockers looking for the best places to spend some quality time. Will be there May 30-June 2. Looking for suggestions. Peace and Love !

Welcome to the forum.

There is much to learn here.

You have been posted on the May and June Whos In Town pages.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/membe ... le&u=60991

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Enjoy

welcome to the forum

well i am an old stoner too and think that you both would enjoy basjoe, la tertulia, yo-yo, paradox and cafe 420(de kuil)

i like basjoe because it is a very pleasant cafe that happens to serve lovely weed and hash ... i like la tertulia and yo-yo because they are pleasant spaces to relax in ... i like paradox for its ambiance as a locals cafe, good weed and hash and there is food available ... and i like cafe 420 (de kuil) for the super silver haze (now called 420 haze) and the soundtrack of classic rock and frank zappa

yo-yo is also an art gallery and has one of the best apple desserts in amsterdam, also has a real 60s feel to it

finally i just want to double-check that you have read the document How not to get hit by a bike from the excellent S G Collins website recommended by FlyByNite

if you have already read the document, then thanks, but if not, then please please read before you arrive to ensure your safety in the crazy amsterdam traffic, and thanks

have a great trip ...

Hello there!

I am a fairly newish member like yourself. Just saying definatly do check out the travelogues and check back every few days, some can be quite funny aswel!

Also this website http://www.coffeeshopmenus.org/

Is very good for getting an idea of what types of grass and hash these shops sell.

Live long and Prosper! :P
