Rich - I had the same idea, though I am going from May 5-10. I asked a local, she says it's really too far for a day trip by bike. Looks doable to me, but then again I am kilometer challenged.philly-Rich wrote:This is way late, but,I was wondering if anyone would like to go see the fields of flowers at the Keukenhof. The gardens are open for 3 months,march-may.Rather than going inside the place,I was thinking of renting bikes and riding, smoking and looking at all the flowers,if the weather is nice enough. They also have boat rides that let you view the fields. To get there they have buses that leave from Schipol every 15 minutes. This would take the better part of a day so I don't know if anyone wants to,or if I will want to once I am actually in Amsterdam.Well let me know what you think.Herhttp://www.keukenhof.nl/en/28/bike-rental.htmle's a link.[

Lets talk Cam. I really want to see the MC ESCHER . I have wanted to do this for a while.Camman wrote:My wife and I plan on spending at least one day in the tulip gardens(an acid trip without the acid) and a trip to see the MC ESCHER exhibit. I've looked at most options of transportation to get to these locations from scooter to private limo and I am still up for ideas. Maybe a few of us could rent a car (stay stoned coming and going).
We also want to go to Aachen,Germany to try out the hot springs and tour the old church. Renting a car with a group would work well.
We have ten days to do things around the weather.
Will be at the Monday late arrivals party at the Nes, will try and make a toke&vote session on monday day, most 420 activities for sure, hoping to go on the boat trip as an extra,The Friday night Rib joint, Little Buddha for dinner and music Sat.(have been to the one in Las Vegas several times). Would love to go to the one in Paris.
If any one wants to pair up, or get a group going, lets talk!
It's not late. Like Baby Bear's porridge... it's just right. There's a reason we've both wanted to go for quite some time, yet the plans always fell through. Had to have just the right company -- Keukenhoff here we come!philly-Rich wrote:This is way late, but,I was wondering if anyone would like to go see the fields of flowers at the Keukenhof.
