coffeeshop app amsterdam

hey guys,

yesterday i found an interesting app in the Android market.

Does everyone know it? should i buy it? or is it a fake???

its called "coffeetracker Amsterdam"

I've heard it is quite good. Only thing is to not use the maps feature as this will charge you lots of monies!! However you can read the reviews and prices e.c.t just be sure to update it before you leave

yeah it would be great if the app gets updated in regulary times. but maybe it will. i think i buy it and than tell you how it work

looks quite nice and works without any problems! i will use it next time when i ll come to amsterdam

i used the app: citymaps2go

it has offline maps that still track you via GPS without 3G or wifi/internet connection

sure you have to know where you are going but still VERY handy!! I took the sim card out of my phone so i wouldnt get international charges, and used this app all the time! it takes maybe 30-60 seconds to locate you.

i contact coffeetracker yesterday and they told me that they will uptdate their app in several times, quite nice.

Map droid for android phones works offline and has reasonable maps - and it's all free

Also check out Brutmaps for android. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=630887
It is a mod of GoogleMaps that lets you download the map tiles using "Mobile Atlas Creator" and store them on ur SD.

Obviously if you try to use directions or look for further info using the app it will try to use an internet connection if poss,... or just fail.

But for simply using it as an offline map that lets u use your gps it is excellent.

The main problem with this thread is that it is not relevant to the far superior iPhone :lol:
