Hey my name is Sue, I've never been to Amsterdam before but I really want to go so I thought I would sign up to this forum to get info etc.

Sorry I couldn't resist. Don't know when you are planning on popping over but there is a large group of members there the week of November 20.

I wonder how long it would take for someone to say that
I'm going Egypt this year (July) so I would like to go next year sometime between May - September.

I would love to go this year but i'm going Egypt in July and that is costing me an arm and a leg.

cool. I f you book way in advance it can be alot cheaper. I got a flight for £34 return from local airport!

I booked yesterday for our holiday in August and got a good deal with Eurostar. London to any dutch station was £84 return each for the adults, cheaper for the kids and me (senior over 60).
. Probably not as cheap as Egypt right now though

I didn't realize it would be that cheap to get to Amsterdam. It's costing me just over 3 grand for 2 adults and 1 child to go Egypt for 10 days.

If your from the U.K its insanely cheap! the real expenses are your daily spending money itself, Amsterdam is one of the most expensive cities in Europe! I find it hard to budget my money when in town but then again I buy upwards of 5 grams a day plus munchies, space cakes etc.
