i dont buy that customs wont take an unused roor for a second. you can tell them its unused all you want but fact is if they want to take it they can. i posted one home from the uk and customs straight up smashed it and sent it on its way on purpose. they do that alot(atleast it seems they do). luckily the site sent me a new one. id be safe and buy one from edit as they will send you a new one if yours gets broken/taken.

Don't know if it's still current, but last one I had was jo@roor.com
Here's another one
amsterdam@roor.com
Old School and Proud of It.
My whole thing with getting a roor in amsterdam is that it will be my souvenir . Ordering one just wouldn't be the same, I could order one anytime. This one will have meaning to me. If customs has a problem with me bringing a brand spanking new bong home, tough. They'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands.
P.S. Thanks for the link, I'll give them a shout and see what they say.

Here is the reply I received from roor Amsterdam.
Hello Tim,
I am sure everything you have heard is probably true, If you purchase first then you just leave your piece with us and we lend you a piece, when you return our rental piece we give you your purchased piece.
If you rent first then you must leave either the full value of the piece you are borrowing or you can leave drivers licence or passport (basically something of obvious value that we know you will return for) then when you return the rental you would pay for however many days you borrowed it for or you would purchase a piece and pay nothing for the rental.
If you rent a piece and return to purchase within 2 weeks (assuming you still have your rental paperwork) we will deduct the amount you paid for your rental from your purchased piece.
I hope this answers all of your questions

roor sells one.. its expensive but it is pretty good... for the price i wouldnt suggest it.SRH_Spaded wrote:I might have been misinformed, but either way i am sure you can find a shop that sells a cleaning solution or even some rubbing alchol. Just give it a clean every once in awhile as fresh tar and resin is a hell of alot easier to clean than stuck on, baked on resin. Then before you leave, give it a good scrubbing before you ship it off.
try using rubbing alcohol and sea salt. works like a charm

I have been planning on buying a bong while over there. Being able to use the same model that I've already purchased will be awesome. As others have said, I'm not gonna just buy one, use it there, clean it, then try to bring it home.
Next Trip: March 7th - 15th
