Apartment on Zeedijk

Hey all,

I'm looking at a couple of apartments I've seen on airbnb on Zeedijk, and I'm just wondering, has anyone stayed around that area? What's it like in the evenings? The both times I've been to amsterdam I've somehow managed to be somewhere else every evening.

I stayed not far from Zeedijk a few years ago. Not a bad location, not that noisy, usually. Plenty of stuff about and if you get a street view great for people watching. How do you mean what's it like in the evenings?

Thanks for that. I mainly meant how noisy it is during the night, how safe the area feels after dark etc. Still hopeful of getting that place, but not had a reply from the owners in a few days, so getting a little worried now, really want to book soon! Guess I should get looking at other places...

Should have no worries on both counts, I never felt unsafe and got a good nights sleep every night

Fantastic. Can't wait to get there now, finally booked the apartment today Only problem is that I don't know how I'm going to manage to eat anything but Chinese and Thai, the temptation may be far too great
