I remember those joints but I don't think I have any pics. I'll have a look though.

J doesn't really consider herself part of the forum but you're welcome to post pics of me. I work on the principle of why the hell would my bosses be reading a site about Amsterdam coffeeshops.

We too stayed at amsterdam escape and the owners dad lived in the apartment upstairs and I would bring him chocolate and stuff, well he told me we were hisw all time favorite guest and that he wanted us back. I was very pleased. they seem to be themed apartments. Ours apartment was the red light district one I think. lol what was yours Lem?

This time we stayed in "Hollywood", which is in the same building as "Coke" I think. On previous occasions we've stayed in "Tiny", "Coke" and "Snug" I think. Snug is the one in a basement in the Chinatown section of Geldersekade isn't it?

Thanks for this, mucho appreciado :)

Edit: not sure about Snug, but Coke is right across the street on opposite side of canal... so I believe it is the same building as Hollywood. Great location for Basjoe!

No, thank you and Hestia for all you did to help make it a brilliant gathering.

I've got a "Roger Waters The Wall" keyring here that you can have if you want. Email me your postal address (I prefer email to PM please).

Monday 18th April 2011

The first day of Hestia's Cup Crawls. We started off in Paradox. As we arrived Blueberry was outside with her bike. Inside we found Hestia, Trad, BigGuy and Gapie plus a couple of new faces: TuttiFlutes with Ohm Sweet Home, who I have had the pleasure of meeting before, and FtCarer. A great turnout of nice people to start our crawl.

Paradox decoration and furniture have changed a lot since I was last there. The new look is more sparse and cafe-like. One exception is this mural:

The table tops are also decorated:

Tuttiflutes added a new dimension to this table:

We ate the traditional vegeburger breakfast and checked out Tutti's and/or Ohm's battery-powered vaporizer. Cool gadget.

First shop of the crawl and I was already mashed. According to the notes I put on Hestia's voting form, the bud I bought in Paradox was Super Silver Haze. That's as far as I got I'm afraid. Sorry. This is the Lemming is Rubbish at Bud Reviews travelogue after all!

After Paradox, J went off on her own mission to find quirky art galleries leaving me completely free to hang out with the gang. We set off on the short walk to Amnesia. Well, those of us without bikes walked.

In Amnesia we were joined by WolfDangler, Uncle Ron and HullDJ. Another spectacular session ensued. Outside we met Hunter, who no longer works at Hunters I think he said. I noticed a Buddha head in Amnesia, like the ones out the back of Barney's Uptown, demonstrating the connection between Barney's and Amnesia.

Next on the itinerary was Grey Area. By now the group was looking too big to fit in this tiny shop but when we got there it was remarkably empty and we managed to commandeer all three tables. We were joined there by Rasa and 08-420.

My Cup notes say I got some Chocolope there. Needless to say I can't remember anything about it. Chances are most of it finished up in the Volcano at Nes later that evening.

I love this picture. For me the reaching out to shake hands encapsulates what a T&T is all about.

J rejoined us in Grey Area after a nice day in the museum district apparently.

The final stop on the crawl was Homegrown Fantasy.

I have a vague recollection of buying some Purple in HGF but, other than that, I can't even remember taking these pictures! After a day with a bunch of hardcore ACDers things were very hazy indeed.

After HGF we all went off in our own directions with the intention of meeting up again later in the Nes.

Yet again there was a great turnout in the Nes that evening. This meet was intended to be a chance for new arrivals to catch up and indeed it was. Amongst the crowd I was pleased to see that Cattales1960 and DHBlues had arrived. In time I also got to meet Cammam, Colina and Stuart1976.

Another crazy session made a fitting end to an excellent day three.

The Cup went on tour with Hestia throughout the day.
