yeah it was mad, they were very polite and made it clear it was a search for weapons which settled me a bit cos i thought i would get bollocked for the 5 gram limit but it was pretty thorough; pockets and bag contents turned out.

was surreal seeing a dozen cops filing in, another Amsterdam first! got a leaflet thanking us for co-operating

Suddenly there is a weapon problem in Amsterdam? I thought the cops could not search you in Amsterdam?

I think no weapons is one of the rule for coffeeshops, as no underage people, no hard drugs etc. so they checked if the rule was observed

This is somehow true, but in case there is no serious reason to search people for weapons, they must have 'asked' you to cooperate, and if you resist, they cannot search you for privacy reasons. I think now 'officially' they got searched on a voluntary base. Even if you have nothing to hide, it's some kind of an assault to your privacy if you ask me...

More ignorance of other countries, veggie. Guess what, in certain zones of Amsterdam the place can search you for weapons, and it is not optional!

And in other countries that happens in every area so I do not consider that a violation of rights

I would say it violates your rights in the USA, where protection from unreasonable search and seizure is law...

the controls are in the area ,its nothing to do with the coffeeshops
the pijp area has been a control zone for the last couple of months ,there been a lot of fetal shootings (6 or 7) in de pijp in last few months so they stepped the controls up a lot!!
the whole pijp are is a control zone at the min, like section 60 in the uk
same happens in the red-light when big football matches are on

bllleeessssssssss

Good news, they just dropped de pijp as a control zone due to much less violence and shootings.

Outrageous quality.

Cream @ 13e.....Unpressed Moroccan, beautiful. Just as good as their last batch which was selling @ 15e.
Mexican @ 14e.....Mex plant grown in Morocco, you're gonna want some of this too.

NYC Deisel @ 12.....fucking lemony. Gets the mother of awesome weed of trip award.

Jamacian @ 4e....African grown for sure, piss cheap, a winner if you don't smoke fags.

All first week September. Go play some chess.
