You can buy legal marijuana in the US. I tried some last time I was there - the K2 one.
Certainly not up to AMS standard, but not bad.

K2 and the likes have been banned in most major cities.

I suppose the elephant in the room is this though,and I am sure there is more than just smokers who read this forum.If the Dutch government want to discriminate against tourists and foreigners in relation to being able to go into a coffeeshop then that probably means that people will then probably think why go to Holland at all as they discriminate against tourists,it does seem to send out an unwelcoming message.

The latter part of that paragraph although harsh maybe the bit that makes the Dutch government think,I have booked to go to Dam in the summer but will I book for later on in the year or next year,who knows.I already know of a few friends who have decided not to book going to Amsterdam in the autumn as they believe they will not be able to experience the freedom of the city.

hotels en hostels wont close.
the coffeshop owners are against it, saw a intervieuw with a owner en he told that when he has to register people he will find away around it or close down cause he refuse's to register customers for a illigal activity.

Sorry if I am coming across as being on one but how does this effect those coming to Holland for medical reasons?Does this then mean that members of the EU cannot seek medical treatment in another EU country? Who knows you may not be able to go into a coffeeshop but you could end up in a pharmacy for your medical marijuana
