Second grow - Sour 60
Re: Second grow - Sour 60
#4 is a female, so now that's three girls, three unknowns, and #2 which I am almost positive is a male...
I hope none of the ones I killed were females...its hard for me to tell...the one that just showed female was growing what I thought were little balls...but then the white hairs grew out of those...so confusing...from now on I will let them grow until they show multiple balls...
Just took pics, will post in a bit...

Re: Second grow - Sour 60
These are the pics I took last night, 35 days since planting the seeds, and they sprouted between 25 and 30 days ago. We are down to six plants, as 4 males have been killed.
#1

#3 (female)

#4 (female)

#5 (female)

#7

#10

Now these are some pics of #4 - the main branch seems to have forked...I guess I will get two tops from this plant...

Re: Second grow - Sour 60
all the best with this zeebs , i'm keeping a close eye on your pics as i'm trying a couple of regs this time around myself
Sending out the good vibes to those that need them right now
Re: Second grow - Sour 60
#1 is a female! So now we've got 4 females and 2 that haven't shown yet...If one of those two is a female, I will feel as if it went well so far. 50% females is OK in my book. If I end up with 4 I will be a bit disappointed...
But I have a feeling that all 6 are girls...Based on the fact that males grow taller/show first...

4 with 2 to go... not bad I suppose.
Bushy little fockers ain't they?
With nearly half the supposed growing time gone, where are bud signs? If they are to be ready in 70 days (10wks) from seed, they must explode in bud growth the last couple of weeks, right? What about flushing? If the bud growth is in the end stages, will flushing have a detrimental affect on quantity? Food for thought...
These questions show how little I know about growing autos...
Good luck and happy farming...

Re: Second grow - Sour 60
I don't expect them to be done in time..they haven't started flowering yet...just showing sex...
As far as flushing, my plan was to feed them heavy for about 30 days once they start flowering, then water only until harvest. Not because I did research, just guessing. I will probably do some reading over the weekend, and may change my mind...

yeah but don't forget autos grow /bloom on 18-24 hrs light so maybe the extra hrs of light enable the plant to flower/finish faster than a reg plant? I dunno though cos I av never done autos jus thinking out loud again
Not everything I type is the whole truth......
Re: Second grow - Sour 60
The last two are definitely girls...so I'm going to flower six plants.

I'm going to unplug the light, go out for some lunch...in about an hour the bulb will have cooled and I'll switch to the HPS bulb...

This is 42 days since planting the seeds, and roughly 32-37 days since sprouting. This time there are two pictures of each.

I saw a small amount of burning on the leaves, so I skipped feeding them the past two waterings. Today I fed them again with the bloom formula, and also included a half-dose of beastie bloomz. I will give them that again at full strength in a week.

Nows the time to strip all the bottom growth to Direct the energy into budding

Re: Second grow - Sour 60
When I watered them yesterday, I stripped out all the lower bud sites, leaving as many leaves as possible intact.
I watered them with plain water yesterday, that was twice in a row with nothing added. Two of the plants that were showing some burn weren't looking better. Now the leaves don't seem as dried out and I'm going to start adding nutes back in, when I water them next time they'll get 1/2 strength Pure Blend Pro bloom and 1/2 strength beastie bloomz.
Here's something I've been screwing up big time - PH.
Up until a week ago, I was using the PH drops to check PH. I used it with the fishtank I had years ago and the fish didn't die, so I figured it was good enough...I finally got around to getting a digital PH pen, and it turns out I wasn't even close, and when I tested water I thought was right on, I was actually at 5.4. I've been watering them the past few days with water tested with the digiter meter at 6.5, and they seem to like it a lot better. I think they'll do better when I add the nutes back in and the PH is actually correct.
Humidity was high, reaching the low 70's, so I had to add the dehumidifier. Humidity is now 55% and I hope will continue to drop some more. It's much harder to control this in the summer, so in the future I think I'll grow september - april and take off for the summers.
Two of the plants are starting to pack on buds nicely, but the rest look like crap so far. Almost as if they started to go into flowering and then stalled. When I post pictures on Thursday it should be obvious which ones I'm talking about. I'm hoping that getting PH right, and getting humidity where it should be will help those other plants.
