Qbic had both good and bad points.
The double bed was just two single mattresses placed together, so if you sleep in the middle, you start sinking.
The room was already starting to show wear even though they are quite new.
There's a small supermarket round the corner which came handy.
There is a very small park with benches about a two minute walk away, so you can pop in and out for a smoke.
You get an electronic safe in your room, which was really handy.
You get loads of towels supplied.
My room was next to a section of the WTC with people constantly walking down all day and night. Expect the sounds of a door banging and squeaking every minute if you have a similar room.
There are no windows.
TV has a decent selection of channels, but all I remember that was English is BBC World News & MTV.
The supplied chairs / stools are not comfortable.
You have a controller to select different coloured lighting ambiences.

Re: Regular Visitor
when i really want to get out of town and have a long walk with my hiking boots and thick socks, i head westwards towards the sea and tramp around Zuid Kennemerland Nationaal ParkAdamster wrote:Cows in my way on bike path on the Lf 2b (northsea route) near Ijmuiden in the national duines parks
dutch website: http://www.npzk.nl/
english website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zuid-Kenne ... ional_Park
and if you want a super-cool and fun way to travel there you can take the Fast Flying Ferry ... here's a video
there is an old thread entitled Hydrofoil(Fastferry) to Centraal via DFDS port? which you might like to look at for more information
otherwise there are good train services to the south-east corner of the park as well as the middle of the eastern side as well as the north-east corner
just roll up a few smokes and take some food and drink and you'll have a great time imo
Re: Aspie Park Visits
Great report dude , I really need to check out more of the green spaces of Amsterdam ! I have spent a bit time in Saraphiapark(sp?) in Pijp on a few occasions and Vondelpark , but not the actual depths just the start .

Re: Densha's Park Visits
I've been in Amsterdam for two weeks since my last posts. It was raining pretty much the whole time, but I wasn't too bothered. Night time drunken walking in thunder & lightning along the amstel was amazing.
Here's some 3d photos from my previous two visits....
