Why are the police doing this? What's wrong with these coffee shops? I can't see any reason of doing this. :?

CSes are raided here all the time.....taxes, to see if they have more than 500g. There is a low-level war against some of them by the police.

On the spring trip we went by Abraxas one morning to have a joint and an OJ. The place was closed and there were cops inside and out. We obviously didn't stop. Later we went by again, and we talked with the girl on the counter and the BT. Both agreed the cops were fairly decent about the whole process. They accomplished their search without messing things up, and without a lot of nastiness. They also said the tax man was the real dick about things, being very accusatory and judgmental. The cops were happy when the shop proved clean. The tax guy was pissed off.
