I think I'll go to

- Het Balloonetje (Roeterstraat)
- Paradox ( EersteBloemendwaarstraat)
- Noon (Zieseniskade)
- Little (Meters away from Mellow Yellow)
- Katsu (Cuypmarkt)
- 't Keteltje ( far away... :D )

And there are many, many others... ( lazy to name all of them :D )

The best place to chill for me was Paradox, It is more of a locals shop thats run by 2 older ladies but sometimes theres also a male bt on the weekends. Theres cool artwork on the tables and walls, they have a box of games like chess, checkers and they have nice snacks and the best weed cake in town too..
Second would have to be 420 cause they have good buds, the 420 kush and 420 haze were very good in March and they play good old rock...

In the evenings i think the two best coffeeshops for atmosphere are katsu in the south, and 420 (de kuil) in the centre. They both have a great cafe/bar like buzz to them. When busy, theres a good volume of coversations and laughter. Ive had plenty of short hellos and chats with people in these two places. Katsu is frequented by plenty of locals too, which understandably is a lot rarer towards the centre.

Im not aware of anyone disliking the menu quailty in either of these places either, so i would definatly recommend them as places for an all round good experience. :D

Agree with CSS, good call mate and now the summers comming plenty of shops get the patio seating out, try Home Grown Fantasy, nice patio, usually nice staff, weeds is normally superb or vile, just ask for a look and a smell, same applies to Dutch Flowers. Although I dont buy weed there The Doors has outside seating which is bang on in the summer, a real nice spot to chill.

Another vote for Katsu here. It was our nightly haunt on our honeymoon, chatted with some locals (making an assumption as they were speaking Dutch to each other), played some games at the big table, and scored the strongest weed of that trip (Black Widow). My wife really liked the shop too.

Paradox is a good spot to hit up. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and fantastic space cakes.

I also agree with CSS, 420 feels much like a pub, and is comfortable to be in. I must have spent at least two hours there vaping and rolling joints, also, De Kroon opposite 420 is nice, especially at the back on the seats by the stairs.

If you go to Haarlem, High Times is a good place to hang out, and they have free internet for customers, which is nice of them to provide. Good weed there too, cheaper than Amsterdam.

I like sitting around in Amnesia, especially if it's a sunny day and you can sit on the tables outside. Lovely staff in there and nice music. They also have games like checkers, Scrabble, etc.

In the evenings I often chill at Rokerij (near Leidesplein) as I like the music they play Friday and Saturday nights. Just be sure to keep your drink topped up!
