Cafe de Duivel - The only Hip hop spot in A'dam

We are planning to have a night up this way on the Saturday we are there.

I've checked their website out and it looks like we will call in for a drink whilst we are there before we go to Escape.

What's it like in there, price wise?

Can't really compare Nes and Duivel. Duivel is a small cafe that plays mostly hip hop. A beer is about 3 euro which is decent with their location. Its smoker friendly and can be very crowded at the weekend. It is also open quite late. Nes is a locals spot in a tourist area. Ran and staffed by some of the best people in Amsterdam, one of the only reason I keep coming back. Prices can't be beat for being so close to the Dam. I usually go to Nes and then head to the Duivel afterwards.

It's a stonerfriendly cafe with awesome music , romantic but not too romantic , nice staff , nice pricing , nice beer

Infact, I might walk down Nes on the way to the Rembrantplein and call in then.

I am happy to report that Duivel is OPEN! It was closed for a few months after an unrelated shooting outside the club.

Fucking hell.
If I was put off every place that had a shooting outside I'd have nowhere to drink round here!
