Put it in the Volcano - felt something, and made four bags out of .3g, but I don’t think I get nearly as much effect as I do when I Hit the bong, or smoke period. Weird.

1g - 10, - KABOOM! The SSH is most def the fave OTW so far!. I love this shop, too.

1g Hash Plant Haze -
Powerful, gives you the sativa jolt that straight up Hash Plant leaves behind. Definitely good if you got stuff to do.

WEED/HASH OTW - It maybe only be the third week, but we have a TIE! Don’t get so excited. It’s an “up, down” thing. You want up? Super Silver Haze from Mellow Yellow. Incredible weed from a very cool shop. Down, you say? Bubble IOL from La Tertulia is all its cracked up to be. Glued me to Bluebird’s couch for well over an hour. I even sat through No Doubt on the stereo, and I hate No Doubt.

SHOP OTW - There was a theory to keep this gem a secret, but I feel like I’d been letting you down if I didn’t tell you about Eerste Hulp (1ste Hulp). This shop is a fantastic. Firstly, it’s in the west, off of Elandsgracht, so its non-central locale means reasonable prices and a place to sit. There was plenty of each, as the place is wall-to-wall cushioned booths done up with Moroccan and North African themes. Perfect for hanging by yourself or getting a group of ten together and heading down there. On top of that, their hash is excellent and prices are much better than at the more commercial shops. Two kittens, cool staff, quality smoke. Can’t be missed.

LEAST FAVORITE WEED OTW - I guess if I had to pick one, it’d have to be White Widow IOL from Nes. Apologies to those y=who are fond of the Nes, but maybe reading this. Maybe with my usual love of your selection, and my new found appreciation for White Widow, I was expecting too much. Great smoke, still. Chosen Least Fav out of lack of choice, really.

Until next week, I suppose. I got a chance to meet Soma (Soma Seeds) not long ago, and once I get around to putting down, I’ll post it. Pretty interesting guy, pretty fun anecdote. Slowly grinding through the “to-try” list, and loving every second of it… I’ll be back next time.

Awesome again, jBomb. Sorry to hear about the Blue Cheese though. You need a hotline to God (or an extremely extensive operation with a wide generational variety) to backtrack clones genetically. I've never even gotten to try the Blue Cheese. Hope they get it worked out.

By the way, one budtender told me that no matter where you go, to what shop, in what city, White Widow should always be good. I got the impression it's like the Doritos of weed, you can always grab a bag of that if nothing else suits your fancy.

Thanks for the tips, and once again, there aren't any better reports on the Internet. Always look forward to them, and when Mrs. C.J. and I visit again, I hope we can meet to smoke a gram or three, so I can pick your ever-expanding brain. ...

Very good, bit better quality than Mellow Yellow, I’d say.
Channels Meet - Thanks to the organisation of WeeLisa, roughly ten or so Channelites attended and a good time was had by all… especially SteveVS.

Likened to Honey Maroc (which I’m now on the lookout for thanks to Viking and SDShadow). Sweet taste, good mellow effects. Perfect for watching a crappy movie - say “Capricorn One” with Elliott Gould and OJ Simpson? It made it bearable for me.

Very good haze, everything you expect at GA. Looking forward to properly trying the 4077 bud I picked out.
2g 4077 - 16,
As good as a really good White Widow, this is a pretty decent deal. But if you are only buying a g or two, spoil yourself with something at the top of the menu.

Haze Heaven - 1g - 11,5
Was unsure, but the budtender insisted it was what I was looking for. I don’t know if it is, but I will be looking for more of it. One of the best Hazes around. Too much of a bar atmosphere for me, though. I guess the Coin branch of Hunter's is more my style

Maybe the biggest shop I’ve ever been in.

Didn’t have the kick I expected, hoped for more considering how long I went with out buying the strain

Straight-up, nice indica. Good mellow, lots of crystals

I stopped by Empire, Birdy, and the Theehuis, didn’t buy or hangout at any one though. Really wanted to find Regine and Maximillian again, but nope. Something for next time, I suppose.

Classic. Still haven’t found the perfect sativa for me, but SSH is doin’ just fine for now. Of course, Sour Cream… that’s another story…

2g White Widow - 11,5
Weed is OK, one only sativa on the menu (NYCD), drinks are overpriced, and the budtender didn’t seem too interested in showing us the different product, even though we were the only ones there. Also, no bongs or pipes to borrow, which is a major con for me. Fortunately, the Bluebird is literally inches away, so you don’t have to waste your time at Reefer.

Amnesia
1g Amnesia Haze - 11,
Sometimes you gotta go with what you know. It’s almost gotten to the point where I have 5 or 6 shops that I plan on frequenting, most with good atmosphere and great product. Looking like Amnesia, BB, Barneys, Grey Area, Katsu, and Dampkring/TK right now. Not exclusive, by any means however. The kicker - all of these shop have a wide range of sativas/indicas/hashes and they are great shops to visit.

1g Nepalese Temple Ball - 1g - 9,
The real deal. Even had the label it came in on the wall. The tender cut a perfect gram first gram… good eyes.. Mixed it with the A-Haze, and as of now, it’s just fine. Real perfect for an end-of-the-night thing. Vertical isn’t an option.

Pink Floyd
1.1g “7 Seconds” - 10,
The guy couldn’t tell me exactly what it was, which was surprising at PF, but its mostly sativa and def a good smoke for the price. Cool shop for big groups, if upstairs is available

Grey Area

Dear Lord. Could it get better than this?
2g Grey Haze - 20,
Apparently, yes it can.

WEED/HASH OTW - Grey Haze, baby. This is definitely a staple in my diet. Super Silver Haze has its place, but there’s something about the taste of Grey Haze that immediately puts a smile on your face, almost like you know what you’re in for, and you can’t wait. Grey Area scores again.

COFFEESHOP OTW - As you can tell, I have settled on a few choice favorites to repeat my patronage, and there are no surprises on my list, probably nothing that isn’t on yours. I’ve pretty much given up on the GH, but we’ll see what Arjan can whip up for the cup, hope it’s not the Strawberry Haze of a few weeks ago, though. The GH shops just aren't living up to the hype. Even their new H. Snow crop is crap, just ask the tenders.

Nevertheless, we as a society must perservere, and so honors to C/SOTW this week go to WW Indica, which looks like an 80s teen recreation center with train seats and a buttload of herb. Frankly, I don't know how I'd feel about the former if the latter were removed. You probably wouldn't see me within 1000 feet of it. In any case, I'll be back.

LEAST FAVORITE WEED/HASH OTW - Though WW Indica may be the shop of the week, it’s NYCD failed to live up to it’s reputation and it’s price. Also, they really only seemed to have one or two sativas at each shop, and that’s what I was on the lookout for at the time.

Another great out of the way shop with a cool cavernous atmosphere with a pool table and DJ booth. Big shop, even if that’s not the case with the menu. More for discerning hash smokers than weed smokers, but the hash is CHEAP AND EXCELLENT. Check out the above and the IOL for 12, for 1g.

Nice buzz before catching a movie at the Kriterion. Weed and a documentary on heavy metal. Is Amsterdam Heaven? God no, but Heaven better have weed and heavy metal, otherwise I’ll take Mokum.

Got more than I was planning Cause I heard they were almost out of the shipment, and as I mentioned before, it’s a staple for me, as is Grey Area.

1g White Widow - 7,75

While the WW is as good as it should be, Baba has become my favorite new “commercial” shop for atmosphere, and I prefer their souvenir/headshop. The Hindu decor, with a huge carving of Ganesha and good view of Warmoestraat, it uneqiviocally rocks.

Blueberry and I tore it up at Old Church and Baba tonight. She’s definitely knows good shit, my friends. The baggies she collected over the past couple of days was all, keen buys on her part. Kudos for splitting the best Shiva joint I ever had.

Beautiful bud from a brand new refill bag. Renewed my interest in the strain. Great deal and a very cool shop

WEED/HASH OTW - Though there are many great weeds this week, honors go to the Casablanca Maroc at Trinity that may as well have been Ice-O. If you want cheap deals and GREAT HASH, the shops outside the center are the way to go. It’s a big, cool shop too. Cavernous with a DJ booth for weekends, I’m assuming. IOL at 12, a gram as well.

COFFEESHOP OTW - Rokerij III is your unexpected COTW. I got some great NL5X-Haze (courtesy of Indica) and enjoyed a great view of the Amstel. As you may know, a C/S with a decent view in this town is a special thing. Intimate place with very cool art on the walls.

LEAST FAVORITE WEED/HASH OTW - Nothin’ near bad this week. Again, I’m becoming very selective and my preferences are obvious, of course for every new bag of Grey haze I get, I don’t get something I’ve never had, so variety is waning. Strictly out of lack of choice, White Widow from Baba, though it’s very good for the more commercial shops, and my new favorite Warmoestraat shop. Just need to go when the techno isn’t blasting.

A bunch of great sessions with Channelites and ACDers, this week. Cheers to everyone I mentioned and everyone I may have forgotten. I hope next week holds more of the same in store. Requests, as always, are welcome

Hey jbomb sounds like a good time! I had some Martian mean green from the grey area. i think it was this that F***** me up 2 weeks ago. I dont know if it was the combination of everything or if the "mean Green" was really that strong!! i was slumped in a chair by the window going white for about half an hour. I think it was my fav. Can you sample a bit and report back please. thanks in advance.

I had to ask for Martian MG, and John had brought some in by coincidence. Go by GA and ask, and if they don't have it, mention you'll be in the next day. They may bring it in.

It is excellent, like everything at the Grey Area. I vaporized it with a friend and had a great time, definite stone, but clear enough in the Volcano that you can function. What I really want to try, and they doubt they'll have it for a while, is LA Confidential. I hear DNA Genetics has plants, but you can't buy any there. Maybe soon...

Could this be why when i went for the Blue Cheese from Bluebird I realy didn't rate it like everyone else seems to, bad taste and not a very nice high (IMO)
