As a member of several Forums centering around Amsterdam, I can concretely state that some of them... cough, cough, CHANNELS, cough, often need to be taken with a grain of salt.
I doubt that there are many like-minded folks from 'round these parts givin' you any flack over such great reports.

dude, you hit it on the head - some idiots may be either envious or they are anal retentive to a disturbing extent...
of course you may get a name or a bit of info wrong here or there...with the amount of smoke you are sampling, I'm surprised you can find your keyboard.....keep it up - I dig your reports and I am unanimous in saying so....

Hi sorry its a late response but i just wanted to add my appreciation for all your hard work in typing up all your reports and to ignore any knobs who hassle you over them. As someone who went to amsterdam in September and still hasnt found time to post detailed reports such as yours i can only admire them and as i'm off to amsterdam again in 18 days they will be a invaluable. (mental note to myself " i promise to write my trip reports straight away")

also i am now registered and have no excuse for not providing a trip report, i have been a lurker here for ages and never done anything about it..now i have no excuse, i wish i could remember some stuff about my previous trips but its all just a blur now. maybe i could file a few cs reports though

Just wanna show my appreciation and support for your reports, they've proven to be a great read since day 1 and will no doubt prove useful to many people on here. Don't see where people can have a problem with them, like you say, you don't claim to be an expert and all the views are just your opinions so just ignore the haters and keep the reports coming!
I'm gonna be in the dam in about a month and can't wait to try out a few of your suggestions!

This stuff is quickly finding a warm place in my heart.
1g White Widow - 8
Perfect bedding for the Rubble.
17/10 - Tue
Rusland
1g White Russian - 6,80
I’m guessing this is their version of White Widow. Pretty good, cool shop, and a very nice view if you sit outside. Nice alternative to shops on OZA.
18/10 - Wed
Grey Area
1g Special K - 11,5
New strain from DNA, and it is just as good as everything else they put out, and I think better than Recon, we’ll see what comes to be their Cup selection. I think DNA may have being curing a few different kinds for the Cup in the past months, just in case.
19/10 - Thurs
No weed bought today, not any shops anyway. I’ve found what seems to be a temporary hookup from a grower who also makes his own ice-o, and I get it for dirt cheap. Got a load of Heavy Duty Fruity, a couple other indoors, and some Ice-o made from SomaNY. Very cool, I made ice-o-lator in a Bubblelator (which is no more a small portable washing machine with some mesh bags) for the very first time, not to mention hash oil in its pure form, which SOME would argue is hard drugs. ONE or TWO HITS, that’s it. Got a gram for myself. In Mokum, if it were in the shops, would probably go for 50,+ a gram, knowing the markup.
If this hook up keeps saving me as much money as I have, these shop reports are going to get shorter, so fair warning. I spend too much cash hitting the shops the way I have, especially considering the deal I’m getting now. And it would be pointless for me to review stuff that you’ll never have a chance in tasting, God knows I wouldn't. I’m always on the search for new and great strains and shops, wherever they may be, but I will probably be even more selective about where I go and what I buy. Will definitely stay true to the great shops though - Grey Area, Amnesia, Barneys (yeah, Barneys), Bluebird, and others I’m sure you’ll hear about.

Happy People
Finally got to stop into this shop after hearing about it quite a few times. Cool shop, sort of Turkish design, popular with locals and cheap hash. The real benefit is that its situated on Dapperstraat, right where the large general goods market starts. All sorts of stuff, and for way less than Cuypstraat, if not quite the selection. Make Happy People the origin and/or destination of an afternoon at the market.

WEED/HASH OTW - Special K - Going to be on the menu for at least a few weeks, prob till after the Cup. Nice strain to add to the impressive list at Grey Area.

Yes, it’s the only new shop this week, but for good reason. Pretty cool Middle Eastern decor, and a very nice view if you sit outside. Nice alternative to shops on the OZA. Also, one of the bigger selections of glass and para for just a straight up shop, check out downstairs to see.
LEAST FAVORITE WEED/HASH OTW - I’m eliminating this category. Of course, when I do find a particular type I think is exceedingly below par, I will make you aware of it, but the past weeks choices have only been chosen because the others were incredible, and I had to pick one. Well, it’s not fair to the strains, or the shops, so I’m afraid it’s out.

MIDTERMS ARE OVER!
None for me, but a friend of mine pointed out that Overkant Hortus and the Theehuis in Haarlem both do a special day once a month, usually a weekend day, where deals are approx. 4g of hash for 10, and the like. They call them D-Days. If you’re around, the savings are great.

Unfortunately, the Nolympics at Indica was cancelled, though I had a good time with Mile High Denver and a few guys from the HempCity Forum. Nice guys all. The was also Willie Wortel’s Harvest Party at Sinsemilla that evening, but due to a prior engagement, I couldn’t attend. I hear its always a blast, I’m sure.

On a suggestion from a HempCity member, and the fact that I haven’t bought from shop in DAYS, I pick up this nice little strain that hits you surprisingly quick and puts a smile on your face, but I suppose that’s the point. Especially nice in “Glass Papers” by Leda. Cellulose, clear, and smooth burning as any papers, it was an interesting change. Keep an eye out at head shops and the like.
29/10 - Sunday
Grey Area
3.5 Grey Haze - 33,5
Got my usual, but as the cup approaches, now is definitely the time you want to get in to GA. All of DNA’s strains are slowly coming about. I picked up some Martian Mean Green and the last gram of Recon for a buddy, but there’s more on the way, as well as LA Confidential, missing since the day I arrived. Some other stuff to, be sure to ask if there’s anything that’s NOT on the menu.

2.3g Buddha’s Butt - 10, (D-DAY SPECIAL!)
Once a month, OV does a special day with 4 or 5 special deals, including the one I got above. Looks decent, and the price was right. It was total luck that I happened by the shop on the special day itself. They also have 3 or 4 Green days a month, with some specials as well. This also goes for its sister shop in Haarlem, the Theehuis. Green Day this Tuesday, 10/31. A Green Halloween I suppose.
WEED/HASH OTW - The Buddha’s Butt, a nice darker hash with a minty, eucalyptus type taste, was a fantastic deal on D-Day, considering it usually goes for 8, a gram. Sadly, the OV doesn’t have the selection it used to, but their deals are some of the best in Mokum, and most of their stuff is quality. Perfect stop in if you’re off to the Botantical Gardens or the Zoo.
SHOP OTW - The cool thing about Birdy is the fact that very few tourists hit it, as it’s north of the station, and everything else is south. This keeps prices down and seats empty, as WW Sativa can get packed. Nice bar atmosphere, too. FREE WIFI. Willie Wortels has it too, but make sure someone’s working who knows the password.
Thanks to bearing with me while my schedule frantically changes. Things here are heating up all around because of the cup, and strains are going to be flowing, I’m sure. I only hope I can keep up. Til then.
