Hi there,

Been lurking and a member for some years (Used to be under Finney) and have found the list a great resource for targeting the weed I need to smoke in my short visits!

After almost 18 months of anticipation and research, the day had arrived. I was to fly back to euro with my wife via the Dam.....Research done and coffee shops targeted!

This is the first time for almost 3 days and my 4th visit to the Dam... Arrived from Oz after a long flight. Previously we had used the train to central and then used Taxi's. Unfortunately previous experience had shown us that cab drivers were rude and just wanted to rip you off! So we did our research this time and opted to hit the subway. We found our way to the subway station after central. Carried our luggage up the stairs and the looked around and decided....Where the puck are we!...After asking around we found our way to the hotel.

By the time we had checked in it was 35hrs door to door, fortunately we got about 7hrs sleep on the flight! Our friends from Scandinavia had already rang the phone twice and waiting at the bar just over the road after their measly 2hr flight.

We dropped our bags marveled at our lovely room and headed down stairs to meet them. They had already eaten lunch and as plane food is such quality I had to eat and drink a few Carlsberg's. After food and three beers my friend was chaffing at the bit to go smoke some weed!

Off to Basjoe's we went. Never having been there before but with the reports was walking with great anticipation. As we approached, I saw the sign Rusden St, I turned to my friend and said, from experience, this is really going to "rustle" with your head....To which he replied in his usual tone, "No problem!!!!"

We walk in the door and it was fairly quiet, met by James. I said I was after some sativa and he pointed me to the G-13 and Amnesia. I had a look and after a smell and feel I went for a 3g sticky but perfectly dry G-13. With that James also suggested a small bud of the Amnesia...How could I refuse!

I then asked for a clean bong, "No problem, our bongs are always clean!" We found a table and I did my usual many years of practice meticulous slow picking apart of some of the G-13 sinsemilla pod by pod excluding every piece of stalk I could.

Now at this point I have to say that I no longer smoke and only smoke in the Dam...so hadn't smoked for 1.5yrs! 8) 8) 8) 8) ....

Packed my bong with my Scandinavian friend looking on with anticipation, I offered him first cone, to which he said, it's ok , u go first! Like I was going to argue and I think the rustle with the head was starting to worry him a tad! Away I went..sucked down 80% of the first cone and then pulled the rest in the following two. Packed another for my friend and sensing that he was a little concerned packed his a bit smaller. He had 2 much lighter goes at his cone!

I should mention we both have partners and mine definitely get a hit off the passive..tad sensitive... :D :D . I let the effects of the first cone rip into me and see my mate is starting to get the hit as well, I suggest we go for a walk...We headed down a few streets and come across a bar by which time our mouths and throats are like we have trekked through the desert for the last 3 days! I suggest how about a cleansing ale? We all agree and in we head!

At this point I am totally off my face but manage to order 4 beers with the partners commenting how together I was! Yeah farking right!...I was totalled and only the sheer fact I have done this heaps of times and knowing it was the pot that I could just ride and enjoy the stone in between fits of silly laughter! 8) 8) 8)

By this time my Scando mate was assuming the body language I have seen before...He was sweating bullets and having trouble with the strength and intensity a bong provides! Offered him water and the other halves didn't quite understand and were suggesting that, we have been where you have before, nothing like being in a tunnel! Well anyone who had been there would know...The last thing you need is someone saying that shit as it just drives you into the that goddam tunnel... :P :P :P ...I have to say my partner felt as though she was walking on clouds for about 45 mins after our Basjoe's visit! That was just pure passive intake!

I was sooo stoned I just laughed. I suggest he may wanna go outside and get some fresh air to which he said, "Not sure if I can stand and get that far!"...Anyways he made it. I suggested to the partners that best to leave him alone....So we had more beer while he counted bricks outside! Must've been a shit load of bricks as he was there a while!!! 8) 8) 8) Reckons he lost start and had to start again!!!

After a few hrs he got himself under control and we did the RLD and drank more beer. We then ate somewhere....Can't remember where but it filled the ravenous hole!

After the visual amusement of the RLD, I suggested I needed a top up...So we headed back to Basjoe's as I loved the CLEAN glass bong! I was met with the greeting like I had been going there for years. I pulled down two moderate cones and my scandi mate decided his brain had been "rustled in rusden" enough!

Didn't take long and the power of the G-13 was ripping me again wave upon wave...Oh yeah...I am in the dam! We left and found our way back to the hotel. After riding the wave I slept like a baby!

Day 2 - was met with the ladies wanting to do the botanic gardens BEFORE I could hit the bong! OK, that was exciting...NOT! Dragged myself around the gardens wondering where the dope plants were and all I could find was butterflies that remotely interested me!

OK, after their amusement, we went and had a light lunch before I found our way back to Basjoe's to smoke some more of the G-13 via the trusty clean glass bong! James welcomed me back with his usual friendliness and our trusty handshake! What I do find interesting is the number of people smoking joints rather than a good clean hit from the bong...Anyways, he was still shying because he can't count bricks! I pulled down a nice cone. This time Basjoe's was rather full, so the smoke was everywhere....This time the wife definitely felt the effects and was floating by the time we left@...We headed off for a walk around and I stumbled along totally off my face yet again - Not sure where we went but damn sure it was good!

On the way back to the hotel we headed back to Basjoe's so I could do some more brain manipulation and experimentation....Yep, the trusty bong was out again...This time Basjoe's was manned by a young fellow who didn't quite get the whole bong experience thing! The place was packed and we just got a table, ordered a cup of tea...Man they make good tea!

This time I thought about the amnesia of the G-13...I decided to go with the trusty G-13 that has served me well so far. Sure enough, it hit the head like a freight train again and I was barely able to stand after a much larger cone and a cuppa tea..Maybe it was the tea??? Yeah right! This time my wife was definitely off her face as she couldn't blame beer. The good news is she is now keen to come back and spend a few days getting pasted!

Staggered back to the hotel, said our goodbye's to our friends who now has a converted partner who won't be smoking anytime soon! :) :) :) :) All the more for me!

Next morning came and partner and I headed straight to Basjoe's, So she could read and I could smoke....This time I hit the Amnesia and I have to say that although a tad drier, James was right and it was stronger!!! Of course I relayed this learned opinion to James to which he smiled and said, "That is why I suggested it!"

I asked James to roll me joints of the G-13 and the amnesia, to which he rolled very proficiently....These joints were smoked over the next few days as we rolled through Holland!!!! Always ripping my brain up and ensuring a great time

This was a great trip that hs ensured I will be back in late August/early Sept for some more enjoyment!

I just dunno how u guys smoke so much different types and varieties in the time you are there???

Anyways...I just love the dam and hope it is there for me to enjoy forever!

I do have pics but they are of me pulling cones....LOLOL..Maybe I could mask that out!

Cheers

Vadim
