Wednesday 31 August 2011.
Really considering going to this, Jimmy Cliff is a legend
Shame it's on a Wednesday really as I'd have to take a bit more time off work then I'd like, I'll check how much leave I have first
Will be a quality night though I'm sure!
edit: added date

I've seen him before...meh. "I Can See Clearly Now" is about as cheesy as it gets. Legend or not. Could be good though, as shows in Amsterdam are always fun.

LOL, give him a break. He is a legend. Plus, he was in one of the greatest fight scenes of all times

One of my biggest music disappointments was Lee "Scratch" Perry at the Jazz Cafe in London. The crowd was all ciggies and gin/tonics.

I haven't seen him live yet and can forgive him for some cheese as long as he puts on a decent show, some of his stuff is awesome
My biggest Amsterdam regret is not checking Paradiso's events listing before I booked my August trip last year as I missed Burning Spear by a week

Still gutted about that!

Good point.
Heard the same about Perry's gig here.

I loved those guys live, great show. I'd love to see them at Paradiso. I try to check Melkweg and Paradiso around the time I'm visiting. I caught Ween at Paradiso and they were fucking great, and I wasn't even a fan of them before the show. We went for my wife.
