Camping Zeeburg and ID (old UK peeps only)

So I book up for Camping Zeeburg, and in the confirmation mail it says this:
It is common that we keep a valid ID-card, European drivers license or camping card in reception during your stay.
F*ckers - there isn't any mention of this on their website.
My problem - I have only got the old 1 part paper licence*.
So the question is do they need a photocard licence, or will a paper
one do (or don't they give a fuck if you don't look dodgy)?
Any info greatly appreciated.
Arch
(Obviously I will not hand over my passport instead, as I will need that.
To get a photocard one will take at least 3 weeks - about 2 weeks
to long. Arse!).
*I have been waiting because when I change address or turn 70, the
first one is free. If I get one voluntary it costs £20 ( wtf!).
(Plus I view it as a backdoor ID card....grumble, groan, curmudgeonly
noises off).

yeah zeeburg have always held onto my passport. I don't really mind, means I can't lose it

and I've never needed it for anything else.
If yr really desperate you could get one of these
http://citizencard.com/ in 2 days for £30 but do you really want to give all yr info to some third party profit making company
personally I'd give it a try with the paper license.

Thx.
That's the plan - I'm going to plead ignorance
(had it said on the website, I could have got it
changed before booking. I'll try invoking the ECHR
if need be

).
No way will I surrender my passport - they can
take a photocopy if they need my picture, and cross
reference addresses to be sure it's me.
Edit: link for ease of retrieval.

They were fine with a paper licence and a scan of the photo page of my passport.
Cool.
Btw, staff were openly smoking joints, so I guess the smoking policy is not so strict.

That's what I like to hear, I'm in the process of trying to make a booking for a cabin..
Are you there now if so, do they sell tents, sleeping mats and sleeping bags in the shop?
Could you check out the prices to give me an idea of what it'll cost if I just turn up and purchase the equipment. The website doesn't give an indication of the prices
Don't worry if your to stoned and can't be fucked, I just thought I'd ask

Or you could try Perry's, they have reasonable priced camping stuff and have a few branches in centrum. Happy camping, Zeeburg's great.

Zeeburg is just great, confirmed! I stayed there for 7 nights one week ago. If you want to keep your ID, they make a copy and you have to pay 20,-Euro deposit. At Vliegenbos they take 100,-Euro deposit and they are not smoker friendly at all at Vliegenbos.
Zeeburg is my new pleace to stay during the warm seasons.
But next time I will stay at Zeeburg I have to hire a bike. Exploring by bike will be the next level.

Thanks for confirming Vliegenbos is not smoker friendly. Will stay away from there.
Has anyone ever arrived at Zeeburg and not been able to get a camping pitch due to overcrowding?. The website recommends to arrive early in August to avoid disappointment. I am visiting there this week and have got a 8am arrival flight just in case, due to it being high season. I usually get there for 6pm on previous visits.

I was there in August last year ,your best bet to get there early in the morning when other people are leaving so there is space for a tent.
