Super Silver Haze is relatively easy to grow. So why is it the most expensive one in most coffeeshops?

Because 1 joint of it will transform a 4 hour train ride to Paris, into about a 35 minute wonder ride past what appears to be millions upon millions of greenhouses.

Because SSH takes 14-16 weeks just for flowering and is NOT easy to grow and is in fact a ficle variety that takes a bit to get dialed in.
Also indoors SSH has a lower final weight when dried as compared to a skunk or mostly indica type strain mainly due to a hazes smaller bud structure and more airy buds...so Longer grow time, harder to grow and less weight per plant than indica is the reasons for more expense...basically why all haze varaties tend to be more expensive

It's expensive because of the name and history, the commercial growers aren't flowering out 14+ weekers, there are lots of 8-10 week phenos knocking about.

Hmm never heard of SSh finishing in less than 12 weeks in any pheno...maybe thats why its weaker in the dam than here...cause if there harvesting ssh in less than 12 weeks its early or not SSH...
As far as commercial growers growing out 14 weekers they sure do, a prime example is Quaze/Greenspoon and mexican sativa is a 14-16 week strain...they grow em and charge much more for them, just like bonglord said

The 10 week pheno seems to be what most people look for, Shanti says there are 8 week phenos and theres even 20 week phenos.
