In my experience , most - if not all c/sheep staff will roll one for you - as well as giving good advice on good strains etc (even see them deal kindly and professionally with "whities") - always pack a chocolate bar , just in cae . and enhoy that mellow high which you will surely get (+ a great nights sleep with no hangover)

do Not start with strong stuff, when u arrive I suggest smoking some red lebanon, Afghani stuff, Thai, or start with something mellow like some Outdoor they've got at Paradox C.S

Whilst there last week I saw a US visitor have a whitey in Amnesia. His wife completely freaked out and thought he was dying - I really felt for the man as he looked more embarrassed about his wife than how he felt!!
But the staff at Amnesia were absolutely wonderful in helping him. They helped him outside and moved people from the outside seating to sit him in the fresh air. They then got him water, lucozade and sugar to help and came out every few minutes to check on him. One of them spent a good length of time talking to the wife to fully explain what had happened. I was very impressed with the way they helped.

I also gave up smoking for a few months when I started a new job. When I started again I had the most awful whitey which last almost 3 hours and I was stuck in the chair scared to move. NOT a good feeling

I'd advise anybody who doesn't smoke much to take it easy. Roll a joint or two but don't try and smoke it all at once. Keep some sugar near you (chocolate, sweet drinks, etc) in case as this will help in event of a whitey.

But relax and enjoy yourself - you'll still have a great time.

Which comment exactly are you referring to? All the talk about weight and number of joints?

most shops will give you a grinder or sell you one, they usually have grinder for the public to use also,

again becare when smoking keep suger on you, dont smoke alot at once you just might have a whitey

I'm in exactly the same position as you, and have just come back from my first weekend in the dam, so i might be able to offer some advice...!

As per the other posters, take it very, very easy with your first smoke. The weed i had over there (LA Confidential from voyagers) was like nothing ive ever smoked over here. We rolled a joint from 0.5 grams, shared it between four of us, and we were all hammered. I enjoyed it as ive smoked weed before when i was younger, but the potency would be pretty scary if you've never experienced it before. So take it really easy and put less than you think you need in your joints. If you need more, you can always smoke,more afterwards.

You can buy pipes / grinders in any tourist shop. I went to babas souvenir shop and the guys there were very friendly and helpful.
