as for stupid names..i agree green crack/herojuana are pretty stupid/inappropriate. doesn't mean i wont buy the strain though. always though psychosis seemed a bit silly/ uncreative. dont know why anyone would think of is a bad name, doesn't stand for "original gangster" stands for ocean grown..which makes sense seeing as the area its grown in..arcata i think is right on the pacific ocean.

All of the colorful combination names hurt my head. I'm talking about ones like Chiesel, Chocolope, etc.
However, it's all about sales, and the more exotic the name, the more interest it will draw. Look at what Tangerine Dream has done. Durban Poison. You get the idea. Can't wait for something like Clementine Rush to appear.
A numeric system would be clinical, but more accurate. 917.882 / 55.864.19 could be an example of lineage. Use your imagination. Strawberry Sour Diesel is a lot easier to communicate, though.
And I think the Kush part comes from a hindu Kush father in its grand parents
