How much do you spend on a trip to Amsterdam?

Far too much! Amsterdam is like a huge pit, in which, I throw euros at an Alarming rate ....in 9 and a bit hours, I spent over 200euros!....I am not even gonna think about how much I spend in a 5+ day trip....
A two week trip would require crazy funds.

I am envious of you guys in the UK...I normally spend $1200 for airfare, $1200 for a room, and easily 200 Euro a day for gear and goodies...total 10 days
$2,000 for gear, drinks, tram tickets, etc.
$1200 for airfare
$1200 for room
$4,400 total and worth every penny

I spend on average £75 on flight from Birmingham uk . Apartment E150 per night. I usually stay for 3 nights 4 days.I work on around E140 a day spending . Give or take 30/40 E. First day always kills the budget. So all in all never much change from £1000 each trip . My 14th trip coming up 8th sept

My trip next week for mates birthday:

£12 cab share to Luton

£80 rtn Easyjet

35 euro accom per night (2 nights)

100-150 spending money for weed and food. (Most likely spend most on weed and 30 a day max on actual food)

When travelling with the Mrs much more as paying for 2 plus do the whole museums, shopping, eating out etc

.Last trip was two weeks, i believe that was about 7000 US dollars.
Hoping to do an international house exchange next time, should cut the costs down ALOT, and i'm a far better cook than most of the slop they serve as food in Amsterdam
Between food and accomodation that really should change the entire dynamic for the better.

round trip flight seattle-chi-dam $210-$250
hotel, depends, if its a short trip i'll use cc points and get a good deal
if longer i rent an apartment or budget hotel room €300-€500 for the week
the bulk is always on mj, hash, and related things such as glass or fun stuff..and even museums. i'd say thats atleast €1000-€1200. usually keep a budget of €120 a day on expenses. so usually its like €100-€115 on weed/hash/museums and the rest on food.throw in the occasional tram or cab ride(rare) then add €20

went in june for the first time so didnt really know how much i would end up spending but it went something like this:
£55 for easyjet flights
£36 for hotel (HEM hotel what a sh!t hole)
mate dropped us off at the airport (5 mins drive as i live in luton )
16 euros tram ticket
32 euros for go karting
100 euros on weed
the rest on other stuff like taxi, food etc lol

so all in alll £450

going again in december for a weekend and that already cost 190 just for accomendation and flights
and student loan will fund the spending money!

the trip is costing a couple gs
also i paid for the girlfriend to go as well even tho she doesnt smoke
so very pricey to get there from the states

and the exchange rate sucks balls

$795 (Continental Airlines) luckily November prices are good
$353 for 6 nights (near Vondelpark)
$1000 spending money + exchange rate not in my favor

About $2200 for one person for a week
