I appreciate all this amazing advice it really helps. I will read it now about the bikes. I heard they will run you down if you don't watch where you are going!! I've been reading the directory now and printed out the map to use while I am there and I should have joined here a while back I just never got around to it. We are staying in the Herengracht area so it appears we are fairly close by some nice shops!

Yes the heat has really been vicious. 102 here yesterday and terrible storms with damaging high winds last nite. We have some very crazy weather!
