Advice on smoking hash joints please

When in Amsterdam its all about the Hash for me as the hash quality 90% of the time over here is fucking awful. I do buy weed when in Amsterdam but mostly hash.

I'm going to Dam for the first time and I haven't smoked for ten years. When I was young I smoked Leb, Red Seal and Gold Seal, before it was replaced with hash that tasted like diesel and had the same flashpoint. Eventually, there was no hash to be found and it was just skunk. It was great at first, but ultimately made me paranoid and unable to think straight, so when I went to live abroad I just quit smoking herb and tobacco and haven't looked back, although now I'm really excited about smoking again, along with seeing the rest of what Dam has to offer.

Therefore I have a few questions for the experts here:

Some describe hash as the 'hard liquor' of cannabis, yet I traditonally see hash (such as Leb or Red Seal) as the more laid back, mellow relative of modified strains, which tend to be more of a racy cerebral high than the relaxing body stone of hash. Which train of thought is correct, bearing in mind the differences between sativa and indica?

Once, I smoked charras: a mate handed me a king-size joint, and said 'four tokes and you're finished', I laughed at him, thinking it was bollox and three tokes later I never doubted his word again. It was an absolute belting experience (I've NEVER laughed so hysterically for so long), are the hashes in Dam going to be comparable to this?

I'm staying near Kashmir Lounge, which by all accounts is a good CS and the menu looks extensive, so do any of you have any recommendations from that shop?
