I am really grateful for this place, its helped me so much already in knowing what to expect, not to mention the latest on the best stuff to try!! Hash isn't easy to come by around these parts so I look forward to sampling different ones everyday!
You folks are very appreciated - I feel like I am somewhat prepared simply by reading a lot of the forum. I pack a bowl and attend what I call "bud school" every day here reading up on the latest!
I bring numberous grinders and pipes back every trip. They are not illegal in the US. I have 2 headshops within 2 miles of my house that sell stuff like that. I always put them in my checked luggage and my luggage has been gone thru by security and they overlooked the pipes and grinders. Just my opinion.

Hey Cat,
You might want to do a little light reading and rephrase. In some States, selling, buying, or possessing paraphernalia is illegal, new or used. As far as the Feds are concerned, all paraphernalia is illegal. It's like MMJ, illegal as far as the Feds are concerned, but 15 States and Wash., D.C. disagree.
My suggestion is to check the States in which you will be traveling through to get home. But remember this, if you get pulled for baggage inspection upon arrival in the US, don't be surprised if they confiscate the paraphernalia. I've seen it happen in Boston, Newark, and Atlanta.
Happy behavior...

Maybe its just my state but I always put it in the checked luggage amd I have been searched and they left them alone. Plus like I said, I have2headshops within 2 miles of my house. They sell grinders, pipes bongs, even Volcanos. All kinds of paraphenalia. Of course I clean them before I come back. that might make a difference.

Paraphenelia is definitely illegal in Virginia, and ok I think in Maryland and North Carolina.
The kids in VA smoke out of the funniest things as a result. Apples carved into pipes, tons of bottle and can bongs of all varieties.

wow I just figured they were legal everywhere because my state of Mo is so conservative that if we can sell them legally, then all the states could. I am not kidding, I have two full blown headshops within 2 miles of me and they sell everything except the smoke. They are monitored though and you cant walk into the pipe room and start talking about strains of pot you smoke. They warn you once, then if you continue to talk about pot, they ask you to leave. They then inform you that their pipes and bongs are for smoking tobacco only. LOL.

That's the exact way it was in upstate NY, North Carolina, and Maryland. VA's rule is totally dumb, and like I said, leads to creative pipe making.

You can't stay for more than 45 minutes in a coffee shop?
Seriously?
I stayed for several hours in each coffee shop without problems -- maybe it is because I keep buying drinks and milkshakes and orange juice, like one per hour.
Hahahaha!

Obviously a bunch of stoners. This thread is way off course!
Regarding etiquette, most coffeeshops are ok with burning dope bought elsewhere. I noticed however that in and around the redlight district they INSIST that you buy some dope from them before smoking. Does anybody know waht the rule on this is? Thanks.
