It does sound tempting if I'm honest, like dan the biggest problem I found was trying to find somewhere at a decent price and after 2 days looking I gave up

just my 2pence in to the topic ive being in the dam for new years a the last 8 years as its my birthday on the 1st of january and its always pricey, the best thing to do is do it on the cheap maybe get a hostel or apartment between a group i always stay in hotel beursstraat ,its a low budget hotel 35 euro a night pp but its central ,next door to the big grasshopper(shithole) right in the heart of town you can give them a ring and book it and pay on arrival you have private bathrooms and you can do pretty much anything you want hope hope you guys can work somthing out peace

We're going over for new year, too but we're allready paying about 350€ p.P for flight and room, 4 nights in a 4* hotel
and here we go *damdamdam* deluxe smokers room

got this the second time now and hell its great, i stayed in a few other hotels/hostels in the dam to but nothing compares to this at least about the official "smokers welcome" what (i'm sure about not means stoners welcome anyway!)
keep cool and you will get a good service there.. anyway how red are youre eyes be..

leaving on the 28 and going back on the 1 in the evening..

if anybodys here planing about some t&t's, welcome.

i'm not sure whys everybody talking about how expensive it will be to stay over new year.

1. if you book right now, you will pay at least more less than as when you book for holidays in the summer months!
2. good, friendly hotels/hostels are hard to find but if you're searching enough you wil find!
3. theres much of ripp off hostels (in the most way they be hostels) in the dam where you get dirty rooms, no changing of towels and anything, no matter how long you stay but when you lighting on a j or a pipe after a few minutes they told you to kick you outside and charge you about a few hundred of euros for the smoking..
i sayd it cause i want that people stay away of these art of making buisness cause its what they need to life and if they're not booked, they have to change.. If read something about the "quentin england" whats somebody booked, if you could, cancel the reservation and get a room somewhere else, perhaps hotel the crown, one of the nh hotels..

i'm sure that its going to be the hardest party ever and what ive seen on youtube about fireworks its going to be hell if youre stoned and baked anyway hahahaha

so keep on updating this thread guys!

if you're going with a bunch of ppl... its prolly best to rent an apt.

something like amsterdamescape.com

much better dealio than a room.

and works out cheaper.... i got a 2 br room that slept 4 for the around the same price as a hotel room that sleeps 2.

i THINK i'm going back in dec.... my buddy was there for NYE and said it was like WWIII going off with the fireworks.... loud as fcuk....

got tickets booked with 2 buddies.

muesumplein.... then off to party at one of the clubs perhaps.

its actually super cheap... got a ticket for around 50% off by leaving xmas night (25th @ 8pm).... i rent an apt when i go, its around $200 a night (USD), for a 2 br apt.... which has a full kitchen, couch etc. waaay better and cheaper than a hotel.

you can sleep 3 ppl, so divide the price by 3. :-)

Also re: Quentin
- wifi only accessible in the lounge
- fire alarm went off 3 times while I was there, imbibe carefully
- 30-40 min. walk from Centraal Station
- great central location- getting anywhere will be child's play

enjoy

At least, for me there's seven day's to waste and then it get started

What's your plans folks?

Wanna met for an T&T :?:

Our plans are, arriving at the 28th, spending our first day in the innnercity, second day around the innercity, gotta check out berentzs and the other two CS in the westerpark area.. On the 30th we wanna take a trip to Haarlem and perhaps Zaandam too, to freak around.. Buying a large pack with fire crackers, and everything you will be able to get in holland, heard good things about they're fireworks  On the final day the 31th we're thinking to spend our time at Museumsplein with all the others, seeing a spectacular firework and if it's going to be boring or cold we're wanna take a visit to the Kashmir Lounge, there's going to be a new years party.. :)

Not sure about clubbing and when, where we will go, for sure a great place whos invited us with a flyer full of names with international dj's or we ending in a electro cellar club

It's going to be AWESOME! 8)
