Strains at the moment vol 2.

Post by rawrawr »

hiya!

i had my 2nd trip to amsterdam back in early/mid-april and am now planning a new trip within the week. my stay will be short, roughly three days time.
i made a thread back before my last trip ( https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewt ... 62&start=0 ).

the strains i tried ended up being:

Candy Kush @ Green Place.
Black Widow @ Katsu.
OG#18 @ Voyager.
Malena Cream @ Dampkring
G13 @ Basjoe.

the terminator was out, and i didn't really bother to check for waterworks/etc.
anw, i've prepared a new list for my next trip, and would love you guys take on it, some of the strains go again, 'cause they were simply too brilliant. so, any info on whether these strains are still on the menu would be great (i have checku, some of the menus online, but might aswell ask)

Black Widow - Katsu - a must. It was so insanely great the last time, so worth it.
OG#18 - Voyager/Basjoe - I've heard that Basjoe has a great one too, Voyager or Basjoe?
Terminator - Basjoe - I'll definitely go check whether this one is up, it wasn't the last time :(
L.A. Confidential - Grey Area - I really wanted to go about and give it a go, but really didn't make it due to lack of time.
Tangerine Dream - Barney's - I tried the G13 @ Basjoe back in april, it was incredible. Any info on whether this one lives up or even surpasses that?
G13 - Basjoe - Depends on you guy's intake on TD from Barneys. If it's sub-par, i'll go with the G13, otherwise it's TD.
Acapulco Gold - Amnesia - I never noticed or heard about this strain, so, i'll definitely give it a go.

This is mostly weed, if we do not count the terminator. I'd love some input about strong hashes that mixes good with weed. Rifman Malika and Habibi are still on my watch-list, but if they're out, any other suggestions, or should i just hit Bushdoctor's? ;)

Thanks in advance,
keep it cool.

oh, a song to end it with! :)

tried habibi and malika in july both very good hashes but not that strong. maybe i was expecting too much. 14 and 15 euros/g. maybe a little overpriced.
enjoy your trip

Nice list you got there, I think the G13 in Amnesia Coffeeshop is the nicest version in the city..maybe try that as well as basjoe's version

The noteworthy smokes I can remember from last week were:
OG18 from Voyagers - seriously good smoke, I bought it twice that week
OG18 Ice from Voyagers - fucked me up for hours (.33 - 10E)
A'Dam Diesel from Bulldog Energy (simply because it was late and next door to the hostel) - I was pleasantly surprised, not too bad at all
Jack Herrer from 't Ooievaartje (north a'dam) - not he strongest but it gave a great pleasant body stone
Kandy Kush from Voyagers - great taste and strong stone
Shiva from Homegrown Fantasy - quite potent, be prepared

Nepal Hash from 420 - great black hash, easy to break up and clean burn. Smelled pure.
Super Polm from ??? (was a coffeeshop on the Nieuwmarkt) - very nice Moroccan hash, nice chilled buzz and crumbled easily without much flame.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them

Ive had acapulco gold three times from amnesia.

First time , it was the most pineapple flavoured haze everrrr. I mean this was frikking amazing.
Might have been the holy grail lol !

Second time it was way to dry , tasted like hey with a bit haze.

Third time it was about the same as the first , awesome !

I'm curious- what do you wonder? If it's the same?

I smoked some on my trip last April and really liked it. It had a sunny high and to me, a yummy more savory flavor.

I wonder if it has the same genes, and if I can tell if its related? Probably not. But I will try to get to amnesia & ck it out.

Thanks geeekymonkey, plan on seeing you the 3rd & 4th

amnesia probably sell the barneys farm version which won't be the full sativa of the late 60s, some indica will have been added along the way for commercial reasons, below is the link to the barneys farm page for the seeds ... sounds like it would be worth it to have a taste

http://barneysfarm.com/?l=en&i=5

just for interest the link to the wikipedia page is given below

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acapulco_gold

i can still remember the real acapulco gold, there is no doubt it was something special ...

Yeah, SS, Amnesia's is definitely the Barney's Farm version. I'm hoping the batch is good in a few weeks because it's definitely one I'd smoke again if it's looking and smelling tasty. It was definitely a little mellower than a lot of the currently popular sativa strains.

See you soon Naismith!
