Music is usually chosen by whoever is working, unless you visit a themed coffeeshop. Your best option will be to load up on tunes and bring your headphones. Also have a read of the following thread. coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17872

Thanks, I figured grey area would be a good choice. Was there last visit, just don't remember it being very comfy for lounging around.

Why not burn a CD of your favs and ask to have it played.
Burn several copies and if folks seem to like it, leave a copy.

Try Easy Times for comfort though. While you won't find the music you're looking for, I thought it was every bit as comfy as say the downstairs of The Dolphins.
