Good report, can i ask's if you went with hand luggage only or did you checking a bag with the grub in ? Just curious as to how you carried your pack lunch.

Thanks again all for the comments

I had both types of luggage.

I checked in a rucksack with clothes and some other food items (flapjacks etc) and I boarded with a small-ish man-bag. In regards to the food I bought a pack of those resealable freezer bags from Sainsburys (they have a zip-like seal on them so you can keep opening and closing) and put some bangers and eggs in one of those (which went in the rucksack) but I also kept a few in another resealable and kept it on the plane in my man bag along with my asus eee pad and ipod. Certainly beats over-priced generic sandwiches you get on easyjet flight. Not that it's a big deal it's only a 45 minute flight from Luton but I think having a quality feed on the plane helps energy levels for the rest of the day no end

Got a questionaire from Easyjet about customer service and how it could be improved- apart from the quasi criminal extra charges and luggage restrictions , I told them not to bother with their useless and overpriced "food" offer on board. (junk of the highest calibre)

Next time - will crack open a hard boiled egg and a home grilled sausage and ask for a free glass of water, 45 mins after all from good old Luton.

Oh shut up and stop making me laugh

(Nice 1 DNL)

@ Lloydy, thanks for answering that question for me, i didn't know you were allowed to bring food on board a plane. And i think on a budget it can be a very good idea to bring some home made grub on your travels. :)

Yes go for it, I think for obvious reasons they don't advertise that fact and people just assume you can't board with food. As long as your boiled eggs aren't grenades in disguise and sausages not sticks of dynamite you should be fine :D

The key is to make sure you keep food sealed up

great report, around 6 months till I go so just torturing myself reading others. the egg/sausage combination is genius, always interesting to read where people went, voyagers likely to be our first and having read so much about Basjoe it is a must. I don't think I can go to Dampkring as last time I had a bit if a whitey and I still feel queesy after 7 years thinking about it.
It has been too long, no 'Dam from January 2005 till March 2012. Coming soon.....

It pretty much came like that though I had been playing about with it haha, it is very crumbly (yet fairly moist) like a damp stock cube so incredibly workable
