early november

yeees! just been told my birthday present from my other half is flights to amsterdam!!! bless her, she really knows how to please me

will be in town early on fri the 4th of november, flying back late on sun the 6th november.

i think the plan is to do the usual all morning-day-and-night on friday, then sat morning head down for a day visit to delft or somewhere similar, coming back to enjoy saturday night back in the dam, and then sunday will be the obligitory t-shirt and stroopwaffle shopping. and i MUST get on a bike this time.

gonna spend tonight looking for some suitable lodging, and then get stuck into some travelogues for inspiration.... ahhh let the planning and perparing begin again.

8 days to go

im still kinda none the wiser as to my shopping list though. some trips im litterally armed with more 'must try' information than i could actually consume... this trip, 8 days to go, im not really hearing of anything 'must try'. the trans himalayan hash i heard good things about a month or two ago, basjoes 'og something' sounds good a month ago... heres hoping a killer travelogue comes up soon with some real gems. i know i've got to get to paradox, but otherwise seems like i might be winging it a bit more this time. as mentioned above voyagers is the closest place to our boat, so without a doubt ill be there too.

at least the beer is sorted. will be going to t'ij brewery and to de prael brewery, and will be checking out in de wildemann pub too all on friday. will hopefully end up in nes cafe again at some point too.

also organised that on the saturday we are going to delft for the day with an Dutch friend that we met whilst backpacking. want to check out the bhudda coffeeshop down there.
