Great reporting and pictures too Geeky..keep up the good work!
Thankfully, as long as one is in public "in plain view" it's legal to photograph them, or this voyeuristic geek would be in huge trouble.

@ft- yeah, I thought people would be dissapointed with anything less, and full costume just adds a little something something to a regular ACD meet-up. :D

Don't worry everyone, there will be more good new weed pictures soon, it's just that my camera battery died with half the pictures from the trip still inside and I've been too busy to replace it...

You really describe weed so elegantly. It's going to be fun chatting with you as I'm pretty much a simpleton when it comes to the bud. Its hard to find dealers who care about strains. Most are just there to sell you whatever.

When I moved here the legal age for prostitution was 16, but they raised it to 18 in I think January of 2010.
Just wondering because in most of Canada it is 19 but in Quebec it is 18. Those girls didn't look 18.

It just doesn't seem right to me to have 18 as the legal age of prostitution. How many 18 year old's know anything about life.

I'm fine with 18 for prostitution, 16 was a little  shocking for me.

Here, at 16 you are likely to be entering your professional internship, if you are not a studious person, and teenagers are treated a bit more like young-adults.

Also, most kids are given small amounts of beer/wine at holidays with their families starting quite young. It actually leads to less binge drinking.

We used to go to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls to party in college because the drinking age was 19. (I went to school in upstate NY.)

Enough slacking. It's time to get a move on it or I will be back in the city before I get the reporting finished from this trip. Shamefully slacking monkey, I am.

Basjoe's OG 18 Special Hash

"Do you have a pipe?" asked James, with a glint in his eye.

I was sitting at the bar, saying an extended goodnight to James. Ohm, Tutti, and Winnie had just escaped into the night on Saturday, hoping to get home by boat and bike before the rain got too bad.

"Not yet, but I'm planning to pick one up tomorrow morning."

"Bring it with you tomorrow, jaaa? I will bring something for you I want you to try." His eyes sparkled while his grin grew wider.

I knew I was in for a treat.

Actually, I believe in France that you do need permission of anyone you photograph, to publish that photograph. Its a very tough law to enforce though.

Yes, I think that's true, but may only apply to commercial "publication." Not sure about that though...

Basjoe's OG 18 Special Hash

"Got your pipe?" James asked me with a big grin after I have him a warm hug.

"Yup yup." I reached in my purse and pulled it out. While James walked back behind the counter. I passed him the piece as he pulled something wrapped in brown waxed paper out of the drawer. He put a screen in my piece and crumbled something between his fingers.

"This is my favorite stuff right now." I could tell by the light in his eyes that he meant it. I sparked the bowl and my mouth filled with an amazing funky sour-lime flavor. I could feel a warm stone start to press behind my eyes at the same time all of my muscles loosened a bit in the most pleasant way. The smoke was smooth and light in my lungs.

As I slowly exhaled the air was filled with the most amazing aromatic kush aroma. My mouth tasted funky skunk, rosemary and a flinty lime flavor.

I hit it again quickly, because I wanted to taste it again. I couldn't believe a hash was so tasty. Like the best cured cleanest weed I had ever smoked. Where was the flavor hiding in that tiny crumble? There didn't seem room for it. Fortunately the flavor lingered, as did the amazing smell in the air. I wanted to rub that hash all over me.

I exhaled the second hit, a smile spreading across my face as I met James' expectant eyes. "Love, this is so good it's unreal."

Mellow, warm, stoney, friendly, social. If I could only smoke one thing for the rest of my life, it would be this, and that's saying a lot coming from this unrepentant pot ho. Who would believe that a hash has stolen my heart?

But then, this is no ordinary hash.

You may not know as much about the world as you would if you were 30 but then you could say that about most things. Would you revoke the right to vote? Disallow an 18 year old to choose their own career?
Young people need to start being treated as adults at some point

I agree, as I've found that young people start acting like adults, without fail, about five years after they start getting treated like adults. The longer we hold off the treatment the later maturity finally happens. I think everyone just needs to make mistakes on their own for a bit in order to learn.

It's strange in the U.S., where you can go to war and vote but you can't buy beer. Come now, really which of these things actually require maturity? Surely not drinking...

Basjoe's Bas Special

No one does indicas for me like James does. Warm, strong, and mellow. This man knows a good buzz. The "Bas Special" is not a strain of weed, rather it's James' favorite indica at the time, so it changes all the time and this one was my all-time favorite.

Stanky, danky with this magnificent flinty finish. Seriously, it made your mouth pucker like a good sauvignon blanc. Lemon and skunk finish that lingered so nicely. Sent the warm tingles loose in my body to wander around a bit before they pooled in my feet. Relaxing. Stoney. So tasty.

Basjoe's Bas Special

It bore a small resemblance to my second favorite Bas Special of all time, from September of 2009, when a little birdy whispered something to me about L.A. confidential and Sour Diesel. Methinks, and Gapie agreed, that this bore some resemblance to that, and to Mellow Yellow's Sleeze, which is LA Conf*SourD.

Did I tell you how sticky it was? Maybe I forgot to mention, but this just oozed with resin.
