dpg, wasn't trying to be rude man, I had no idea about airports being snowed in for days last winter... that's what I meant about being vague... I had no idea why I might be stranded in Amsterdam- though honestly, I have far more anxiety about potentially getting stranded OUT of Amsterdam before I get there, not IN once I'm there! lol As you can see, I already am planning to be away for Xmas, the family holiday. If I DON'T get stuck there over New Years this will be the first time I've been home for that holiday in years lol! I don't have my own family, so not like I'll be away from the wife and kids or anything.
Flight leaves three months from today, almost to the minute!! This may be the loooooooooooongest three months of my life!

Finally got my passport in August, so this will be my first trip to another continent... and first out of the country since 1996, before you needed a passport to go to Canada!
ah thats cool man,yes the trip back from Amsterdam is uneasy..airport security etc
its a great place to spend the hollidays,i actually like the city more when its covered in snow
as a matter of fact im planning my next trip for december 18th..its a looong way away..

Hello everyone,
I'm back in the dam on 15/12 on a solo trip. What's happening with your T&T, having never been to one, is it just a drop in and chat?

This will be our first T&T as well. Definitely a drop in and chat scenario, low key.
Aside from the Ajax match on 18 Dec., our schedule is open. Anyplace is fine with us though Paradox would be my first pick. Must see if they have any Turk left!
One month!

I think we ought to do Paradox as well - I really like the location and atmosphere. I arrive on Thursday, 12/15 so I can do it that night or Friday if people think that is better. I've kind of been avoiding visiting this posting because the waiting is driving me nuts...lol. I board my flight 4 weeks from this Wednesday!!

Wow, almost that time! Should be nice and quiet come December once all the Cup crazies have gone. Looking forward to visiting some new shops this time around. Kind of glad I decided to stay in De Pijp this time around. Have about 9-10 shops in the neighborhood that I plan to hit up this time - probably can make almost a day out of it.

Hi Friendly_E
I'll be arriving on Dec. 28th early morning and will probably be at the Central Station just before 10am. Will be going visiting friends in the Hague...and from there onwards it'll be a back and forth to the Dam until January 3rd.
Let's stay in touch and hopefully have chance to run into each other there...I'll let you do some scouting beforehand!
Cheers

You have been posted on the December and January
Whos In Town pages.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.
https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/membe ... le&u=74273
I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
You can do a little practice shopping on the
Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Are you going straight from Central to the Hague, or are you staying in 'dam for a bit? 12/28 is my last full day in town.

How long will you be in town? If all goes according to plan, I will be going out of town (to Paris, incidentally!) from early morning on the 14th until late on the 15th. I don't think we have anything set in stone yet, but I think the 16th is the day we were looking at to really get it rockin'! I think we were discussing 9:30@ Bluebird > Maritime Museum > Zoo > 4:20@ Basjoe, with lunch and another shop or two mixed in along the way.
I leave two weeks from today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I leave 2 weeks from this Wednesday! Got my linguistics final on Dec. 13 and then leave the next day - woohoo!!
The 16th sounds good to me for meeting at up Bluebird. I already bought my Holland Pass so I'm definitely hitting up the Maritime Museum. There's also a Burgermeester right across the street from the zoo if anyone wants to try it - I've been to Burger Bar, but not Burgermeester (heard it's better).
Never been to Basjoe so that sounds cool as well, plus Rusland is right down the street (if still open?)
