Hey Edgar - not sure if you'll be in Paris still on the 15th, but I plan on going being at Paradox at 5pm on the 15th and Barney's Lounge at 8pm. If you're around and feel like stopping by feel free. Other than that it's Bluebird at 9:30ish on the 16th, then the Maritime Museum and the Zoo (unless it's raining) and then Basjoe at 4:20!
Paris is looking good right now... my train would be scheduled to get back @ 22:45 on the 15th, if you want to meet somewhere central ~23:00... I will pm you my 'dam number when I get there! It looks like we'll be lucky to get any days that don't rain :? Oh well, I'll still be rocking my shades!! 8) 8)
Sounds good brother. If you get back by 11-11:30 let me know. I might be eating my switzerland ticket - I'm debating whether or not I'm going to go. Yeah, I know...lol. I'm actually bringing a travel umbrella this time that will fit in my backpack so not worried about if it rains - I just don't feel like getting soaking wet and then walking around in the cold and ending up sick. I think most of the places near centraal station are open late so name the place and I can meet you there. I'm going to pace myself the first day and not smoke too much so I can stay up late. Last time I was inside by 10 almost every night! Hunters is open till 1am I think and if you feel like going over to Haarlemmerstraat, Popeye is open till 1am too.

@ ravenfunk: I understand what you're saying about zoos but I don't share your opinion. I tend to view zoos as bastions of conservation and education. Most zoos get their animals from captive breeding programs nowadays and also help to preserve species that are in danger of extinction. Yes, I also eat meat and thought the South Park "Whale Whores" episode was hilarious. To each his or her own.

Sounds good. So basically I'll be at Barney's Lounge at 8pm, then make my way over to Haarlemmerstraat and hang out at Popeye until around midnight. If you don't show up by then I'll just assume you were too wiped out from Paris and we'll meet up at Bluebird the next morning.

Im staying in the central area from the 16h through the 20th. If its not raining to hard I'd like to try and meet up with you guys on the 16th if that's ok. I see Bluebird in the AM and Basjoe at 4:20. I think I can make it there. I will read through your recent posts to make sure I've got your schedules right.

Sure you can meet up with us - the more the merrier! Bluebird opens at 9:30 so if you're a little late that's ok. Since it's first thing in the AM it shouldn't be busy at all. If I remember correctly there is a seating area upstairs so just look for us up there if we're still not downstairs making our purchases. After that some people might go to the Maritime Museum so if you want to do your own thing than meet up again at Basjoe that's cool too.

Getting close now...

See you fine people at Basjoe for 4:20, we'll be jet lagged and wrecked by that point, but looking forward to it nonetheless.
Shit, if the plane is too delayed we may still have our luggage with us!

If that's the case you can always leave it in a locker in Centraal Station if you don't want to lug it with you.

I know I should be, but the weather report has me stressed... heavy rains and 30mph winds... not good. :? I even started looking into trying to move my flight up a day, but that doesn't look like it will be possible financially.

Haven't decided on a plan of attack yet... I might do a quick buy n fly from Barentsz, the closest shop to my apartment, then hit the store and get my apartment stocked... or I might just head out, start walking and see what happens... right now all I'm worried about is getting there smoothly!! I will be packed by tonight!

When's your flight Edgar? You have to make any connections? I'm so close - I'm off Monday night, final exam is Tuesday evening, then I work Tuesday night, then off to the airport Wednesday morning! I'll PM you when I arrive in the Dam. Have a good trip!

If there are no delays or issues (and it looks like the weather will be getting better as the morning goes along, so I'm starting to be optimistic!!), I should arrive in 22 hours! Tampa > Philly (absolutely perfect weather!) @415p, Philly > 'dam @ 850p!! I'm now putting the final touches on packing... uuuuugh, 5 more hours til I can leave for the airport! :?

I'll pm you my local # as soon as I get there, and let you know if it receives texts (he said it is an old phone), but just in case, the plan is Thur Dec 15, ~11p @ Voyagers, and Fri Dec 16, ~930a @ Bluebird, 420p @ Basjoes!
