I get what you mean. I'm coming to realise only recently just what kind of weed i like 'best' of all and it's the kind of high you get from this sess stuff. Closest I've found in effect is acapulco gold. Still chasin my buddy and he reckons he's on the case... wont hold me breath but will allow myself to hope... lolh
Welcome to the church of sensi dude :D
Dunno if you can get hold of any roots reggae but you will find tons of heavy wicked tributes to the holy Grail of trad weed, just google sensimelia in YouTube
It's can also be a ferocious aphrodisiac with a strength of orgasm thats like having a stroke!
There are long threads from a year or so ago about all this from me and others which would take you on a long journey of knowledge about all the mostly frustrated efforts all us non jamaicans have to go through to even get a sniff of cess/sensi unless you have access to the heart of the Jamaican community. No real sensi has been in dam coffeshpps for over a decade so don't even bother, you will only weep as others like myself have year after year. Long ago yes, and sorely missed along with all the other mind bending iconic legendary weeds. Quite honestly be grateful you've ever had it and if by luck your connection comes off regularly make the most of every pull on this magical real weed. Oh and stick on ' stalk of sensimelia' by black uhuru if you can. :)

Thanks for this Templeball (with that username you had to be into 'old skool' gear! ) I love proper roots reggae! Lived next door to Ladbroke Grove for several years which was where I had my first two tastes of the dilla and acquired taste for the best music to go with sensi even if i only smoked a few joints of the real stuff!

As to accessing the 'heart of the Jamaican community', if anyone can it's my buddy who gets em all drunk as well as stoned once a week and is apparently well liked by them. This is takin on the nature of a quest.... lol

A pleasure to converse with you :)
Sensi is very very special and I've never had any indoor strains that even remotely compare to that ultra uplifting horny fucked up can't move a muscle time stands still weird mix it can yield and by god that roots music sounds good eh?
The best JA sensi I ever had and to be truthful I've only had the dogs nuts a few times was barely like normal weed at all - dark squishy ultra compressed buds that become a kind of gluey ultra sticky almost black thing that smells like nothing else on earth, almost chemical/can't be natural type of aroma, hard to describe accurately but once smelt never forgotten kinda thing
Anyhow I'm excited on your behalf good luck
btw each to their own and all that but traditional Rastas wisdom is very firmly don't mix sensi with alchohol especially spirits. Wise words well heeded, quite apart from the spiritual travesty this would be it can spin you out very quick and ruin a great buzz. :(

Been amsterdam 2 times and could never find it -

I used to live in Birmingham and some friends had close relations with some jamaicans

Yup they call it high grade and it actually has many different grades.

The first time I had it was with a rastha who made it without a roach, really didn't feel like having it because the end of the joint was horrible and wet and the weed looked like shit.

I had about 4 drags, drags which I didn't even feel go down due the roach less spliff

It was amazing, better then any cannabis I've tried, been Amsterdam twice and been smoking for years so ive had some strong strains

I've tried to explain this to friends but as they've never tried the true high grade sensi they always compare it to non High grade stuff

I've attempted to buy high grace on a number of occasions only to know it isn't high grade.

I also like my Thai weed which I tend to pick up each time I travel to birmngham, many jamaicans smoke Thai weed too as I guess the true high grade is very hard to come by,

The Thai weed I get comes on a stick wrapped with different colored string, the string represents the quality. Thai weed is nice and mellow and prefer smoking it in the day as my head don't buzz around too much and just helps me relax throughout my daily routine.

Would love to get some High grade sensi and I guess it's hard to get in Jamaica too

You can't get it in 'Dam apparently, they try selling you thai weed or African brick weed. I've posted a topic below with pics and descriptions of it. The high is a lot cleaner than indoor grown weed with no comedown/grogginess, if you haven't smoked for a while it feels a lot better than skunk which can be overwhelming if you've not smoked for a few weeks. It's impossible to get if you don't know anyone linked to Jamaica, and if you do there's lots of imitations. I've saw a few guys around my way saying they've bought high grade, and when I've looked at it or gone to get one wrapped it's been bush weed. So don't get stung!

Hi I'd forgotten how good that older post was with all those pics, I thought I'd not seen them before and then i read some reply I'd made! Anyway can I do a reality check, I thought cess was just youth speak for sensi, has it become a more generic word for high grade now?

Just got back from 5 days in London where a mate sorted me out with some killer pressed Jamaican.....sticky brown buds pressed with sticks and seeds....a few red and orange strings attached too....at first glance, I was bumming....but after the first bowl, I knew this stuff was pretty sweet....kept me buzzing nicely all week....

Still prefer my big green buds but it was a nice change of pace..... :D

I am just back from The Dam and i have never seen pressed JAMAICAN, you get plenty of Jamaican weed but it's nothing like the real deal from Jamaica. I visit The Dam 4 or 5 times a year and i have never seen the pressed stuff

I guess Arjans claim to be supplying landrace farmers is true...
Alas, Jamaican genepool has been fucked up, thanks to people such as Arjan... kinda Monsanto-like attitude if you ask me...

CannaSir i live in Manchester and have a friend who deals only in Jamaican weed, most times he has High Grade Yardie Weed, its very expensive like £35 for a small compressed finger nail size.
It gives you another level kind of high .
Its One of my favorites,
when i was in amsterdam in november2011 i couldn't find it anywhere.
...Peace out...

Yeah fuckers. Gotta sympathise with the growers though getting 3 grows a year instead of one out of a native strain but it's defo gone all fucked already - two of the recent high grades I've had were instant hit highs and none of the creeper stone I'd always enjoyed - oh well
