I tripped a few times in High School between 1977 and 1979. Most of the experiences were good, but one was bad.

From 81-05 I was busy with family, then in 06 the shit hit the fan and I found myself divorced and alone. 2006 marked the year I began returning to Amsterdam annually.

The readily available truffles tempted me mightily, but for a few years I was paranoid to trip there. The main reasons were, I didn't speak Dutch, I had a hard time navigating the non-grid city, and I usually travel alone.

Finally in 2010 I decided to go for it and I realized that Amsterdam is the best place to trip. One example was when I explained to the tram operator that I was tripping and I didn't want to miss my stop at the Van Gogh museum. She didn't even bat an eye, she just said 'yeah, no problem'.

I can't imagine a more tolerent and accomodating location for a trip than Amsterdam.

Don't do magics if you get paranoid off green. its way more intense, if your with someone or a group who have had them before you may be ok,

if you get paranoid on weed chances are you will have a bit of a freak out on shrooms. try them at home some time with friends- in a comfortable environment you will have a better time. Iv tripped on shrooms about fifty times and have had some amazing trips in amsterdam but even iv had some tough moments in trips there . a good state of mind usually leads to a good trip, if your down, unsettled, paranoid then you will probally have a bad trip. if your in a good state of mind when your there then maybe, but id get supplies and stick to your hotel room.

good trip- euphoria and total bliss, amazing colours and shapes beyond normal imagination. a brain movie if you are lucky. a new you is born with a new view of the world greeting everything with child like enthusiasm and laughter. good music helps. if you take enough things change beyond explanation.

bad trip- feelings of panic (like what have i done to myself?, did i take too much? whats next?) i feeling of everything being too intense, self indulgent sadness through over analazing trivial matters in you life. a wish for the experience to end but it just seems to get stronger. If this happens sugar or vallium should make you feel better, change things like type of music, turn tv on/off, make room brighter/darker and accept you just need to ride it out.
I once took a crazy amount of hawians and atlantis truffells, at its peak it was seriously fucking intense but what followed was several hours of bliss and amazing brain movie visuals. Mushrooms can take you to a place that cant be explained only experienced, they can also take you places you dont want to go. buy the ticket, take the ride.
