Awww :oops: Thanks Chuggy, I'm so so glad you had a good time. I agree, it is super awesome to be a woman alone in Amsterdam. I love love being there with my Mr, but I'm sure that will not be my last trip on my own.

And for everyone waiting for a continuation of the "Can you just put hash in your milkshake" question, I'm working on a response, gathering some more research and making sure I'm right on the science, but it will take me a few days to get around to it. The short of it is really, I don't think it works.

With me chemist hat on, my slightly considered take on the issue is somewhat thus;

THC is mainly produced, in plants, as the carboxylic acid substituted version THC-COOH. The fun stuff, good ole THC is made when you decarboxylase THC-COOH, this is generally done by heat (burning, vaping and so forth). From what i understand there would also be naturally occuring THC already present in both weed and hash, but we'll leave that to one side for a moment.

Now one of the advantages of heating the hash up in the butter is that you decarboxylate the THC-COOH into THC via the same chemical process as setting fire to it :wink: I assume, and this is an assumption mind :oops: is that you'd have enzymes, decarboxylases as it goes, that would carry out the decarboxylation in your stomach via a different reaction pathway. Any free THC that gets to your stomach would then be absorbed into your bloodstream through the gut wall. Either way i'd reckon the carboxylation process would be more efficent if done heated in the butter. The added advantage of the butter method is that (THC being soluble in fats) being melted in to the butter would afford it a degree of stability on its journey to your bloodstream.

So in conclusion, the butter method will get you stooooooned but if you can't be arsed with the faff, preheat the hash with a lighter, crumble it into the milkshake and i still reckon that it'll get you stoned.....just probably not as much :D........i've only ever tried my way, once, a long long time ago so i'm basing my opinion on no personal experience to speak of and would be happily shown to be barking up the wrong tree entirely!!!
