i have been back from my trip since sunday..geting back to reality takes a few days,luckily i have some great smokeables from the best city in the world
wel this is exactly what hapened on the 22nd of september..my Amsterdam trip
september 22nd thursday:
Woke up early thursday morning to a nice wake n bake of my leftover Irish cheese,and the first thing on my mind was im going to be in Amsterdam in few hours!I had everything packed for a plan b ,i even had a plan c!i had reservations in 3 seperate hotels and had a tent,and ofcoarse my main item..my skateboard.Why would anybody book into 3 hotels?because in a city like this you have to be prepeared for it all,anything can happen.Said my goodbuys and off i went to the train station,i remember the walk took forever ,I just couldnt believe "today is the day".
I got the 7 o clock train to dublin which takes an hour,my flight was at half eleven,so said i went to early but i had some things to do before the airport and i wanted to have a few hours to burn for airport security etc.
Arrived in dublin,for anyone who has never been to this city,its like marmite..you either love it or hate it,and for me i hate dublin
I have my reasons but that story is for another day.So i walked by all the junkies lining the streets and headed for the bus to take me to the airport,i got the shakes geting on the bus,i only go into dublin for a really good reason and today i had a very good reason!
Arrived at Dublin airport wih plenty of time to spare,for anyone going through this airport..its security is a joke,but this was to my advantage as i would be bringing back "souvenirs".
It was a long wait for the plane and te gates kept changing,i seen loads of dutch guys going up and down the terminal looking for there gate home.With less than a hour away the plane was boarding,which took too long and i just wanted to get to voyagers!
imagine trying to tell that to security.It was a long and uncomfortable flight,but i was sat beside an irish couple going to the city for the very same reason!to have a good time!The guy was here several times ,but it was her first time going and she looked very excited,reminded me of my first time there..the great unknown
Touched down at ten past 2 and the airport was packed as always,but still i like schipol airport.Got my ticket and made my way down this lethal escalator thing,i remember someone talked abput this thing before on the forum.
The train form the airport to centraal was a long one indeed!it was a great day in holland sun was out and the coffeeshops were geting nearer!
At 3 o clock i walked out of centraal,oh did i say walked?i ran
i made my way down damrak got a febo and went into te first shop of the trip 420 cafe,was a change of plan from voyagers but i missed this place last time and with all the good reviews i had to check it out!
I walked in and was greeted by this hot dutch girl working there
and walked up to ther counter and browsed the menu.
The menu at 420 rarely changes thave all the main suspects,white widow,morrocan hash,haze but te 42o kush popped out at me.The bud tender took it out and it looked very diff from blueberrys video,more compact little dense nugs but smelled great and had a great indica head stone!
Walked down damrak trying to take the whole thing in,as i got to teasers this stripper at the door was trying to get these tourist in and dance on the tables ,apperently you get a few drink if you do.These tourist didnt even speak engish and didnt know what was going on,i found the whole thing very funny,but teasers had some nice girls i would see tem later
I made it to the dam centrum,music was playing vendors everywhere and there was alot of festivities going down,but i knoew i had to check into my hotel so i walked behind the palace past rockland and checked into my hotel,i remember geting the biggest deja vu walking down damrak..i was back!
I chilled in the hotel for a bit to catch my breath,i was already wrecked form all the walking and the flight but had a few hits and hit the streets again
I was so close to paradox and just knew i had to check it out,from all the reviews it lived up to them on quality and service
It took me a while to find it,i noticed its nearly hidden behind tis big plant thing,and walking past it looks like a shop that sells furiture or something?I walked in and could smell weed and hash smoke straight away and i knew i was in the right place!
I went up to the counter and looked at the menu and noticed it was mostly locals there,i heard alot of dutch.
The budtender wasnt the ludo guy i was expecting,it was a tall tattooed guy,he showed me the super pollen,manali,and turkish.I always wanted to try the turkish but the super pollen just looked and smelled better so i went for it,the thing i like about paradox is you can buy 0.5 of grams and stuff,not just 15 euro a gram minimum some some other places.
Grabbed all my stuff and headed out,wasnt sure where to go thenn!i looked at the map and seen barneys ,i tought i always wanted to try tangerine dream,and since it was the winner of the last cannabis cup..it must be good!
I strolled along the canal and by the cafes it was a lovley day to be out walking ,the locals were all out sitting on the terraces drinking coffee,and smoking cigars..very dutch
i walked past all my old favorite coffeeshops and seen some new ones!i notcied they were doing some construction on the doors,anyone know what thats about?
I made it to Haarlemmer straat,which is my fav street in Amsterdam,it has some of the best coffeeshops,cafes and places to eat,i just love the way its like a high street like a more upscale part of the city.
I walked by popeyes and greenhouse and too a peep inside all the others,but i made it to barneys coffeeshop.
I made it to the door as was asked for i.d!asked for i.d to buy weed?only in holland
i made it into the shop,i was nearly at the counter when the bouncer guy asked to see my i.d ..again.I think barneys have had problems with underage patrons in the past,thats why they double checked.
The barneys menu hasnt changed much,and if im being honest was over priced,tangerine nectar is 40 euro?!whats in it diamonds?I put the hash menu down and picked up the weed menu and looked for tangerine dream...15 euro a gram?a bit dear but i ahd to try it.
It was a very cyrstaly bud,very dense,alot of resin and smelled like orange insense.
It has a sharp taste but i nice balanced high,but the ashes of it were black as wel as the 420 kush ashes!?
are the growers geting sloppy or something?if i pay 15 euro for weed the least i expect is for it to be flushed properly!am i asking to much here
anyway i dont mean to rank it still got me high,ill give it 8 out of ten along with the 420 kush.
After barneys im not sure what i did?i either went to kadinsky or voyagers?oh yeah i went to voyagers caz i was closer.
From what i can remember i headed for voyagers past all the nice shops and places selling weird looking cheese,i love just watching the whole city go by.
I walked past cental coffeeshop and into the famous voyagers coffeeshop!I wasnt 2 seconds in the door when i was asked for i.d by and english bloke with dreadlocks..im guessing this is highlyblessed?The shop is pretty basic compared to the rest i have seen the counter is facing you as soon as you enter with two tables on your left a few chairs and maps and stuff on the wall.There was a guy sitting at one of the tables stoned out his mind,i said hello..but it didnt register
You guys werent joking about the menu?all top shelf stuff!!kushes hazes,hash and the one that stood out to me was og 18,and he said its a good batch so i got some,very tight little nugs very diff from the pics of it i have seen before..and again black ash from it?!what the underflushed stuff at voyagers
still it got me high and was better than the shit i smoke in ireland but i was expecting white fluffy ashes,i duno whats up with growes these days..greed is ruining everything these days
luckily i popped some supper pollen in my pipe and began smoking the morrocan goodness!
a warm fealing came across my body and the all to familiar stoned fealing came into effect
Oh and btw sorry to the guys i missed the toke and talk,i was hoping you would still be at voyagers but i arrived later than expected.I asked the budtender about the "butter" and he said none is in town at the mo,and if it is its not the best..next time there better be butter on the menu
The buzz hit me hard and quick luckily i had a looza near by or things would have got out of hand
It was all part of the experience do,so what if i pull a whitey!this is amsterdam

Made it back to my hotel late and smoked till the early hours,all in all it was a perfect first day in mokum and i haves some more pics to add to the report,i would like to finish the whole 4 day report now..but by the looks of things its guna take some time and iv to get all the other pics together..until then here are some pics from day one,enjoy
