You can legally grow 5 plants as long as you dont have a light and/or a fan

no light? that seems only slightly retarded!Panog wrote:You can legally grow 5 plants as long as you dont have a light and/or a fan

According to Wikipedia (take that with a bit of caution), "A maximum of five Cannabis sativa plants may be grown without prosecution, although they have to be handed over upon discovery."DjShaggy wrote:hmm ive read all over that you can but now im not so sure...Boner wrote:I think most people were led to believe that you could grown 5 plants for personal use but I'm pretty sure it's still 100% illegal.DjShaggy wrote:im guessing as a resident gapie doesnt give a fuck because he is allowed to grow his own personal stash, so even if the coffeeshops are selling poorer quality weed he should have no problem getting some nice ssh on the go n still reppin the 20% club

Pretty much in line with marijuana being illegal in the Netherlands, but we'll pretend we don't know where the coffeeshops get their stock!

If yo have a light or any forms of extraction equipment then it is classed as cultivation and you are in the shit. You can grow five plants outside, but it is still illegal, but you will only get a fine. All the rules regarding the cultivation of ganja are still classified under the 'opium' laws.DjShaggy wrote:no light? that seems only slightly retarded!Panog wrote:You can legally grow 5 plants as long as you dont have a light and/or a fan

If memory serves me correctly that dutch documentary 'Nederweit' has a copper saying it's 100% illegal to grow even without a light.

nothing back yet from my buddy...
are we getting paranoid for nothing like weitpass? or is this serious shit?
If anyones there, the ppl to talk to are coffeeshop OWNERS.... they'd be getting something in the mail from the govmnt saying this is what is happening and you must comply by.....
until that happens, its business as usual.
When i was there for a few months earlier this year, no one there knew or even gave a fuck about the pass... just the crazy americans.

just read this:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/0 ... 00676.html
key things i got:
The Cabinet has not said when it will begin enforcing the rule.
The Dutch Justice Ministry said Friday it was up to cafes to regulate their own products and police will seize random samples for testing.
But Gerrit-Jan ten Bloomendal, spokesman for the Platform of Cannabis Businesses in the Netherlands, said implementing the plan would be difficult "if not impossible."
also found this:

also... from the best source...
Grey Area's FB page:
One more AND LAST time now!!!! Please read a little here before asking..... It is no law yet, just another lame proposition from one of our right wing ministers. Since all weed has a THC level of over 15% and coffeeshops have no lab to test this, we'll have to see what will come out of this one. For the moment its buisiness as usual!
here's their official report for the pass also:

I find that hard to belive. As the cup brings a ton of people who are going to spend money with other businesses, no?Boner wrote:
SloWhite, the majority of Amsterdam and the coffeeshops dont care about the cannabis cup, only those that advertise in High Times actually give a shit.
I would be in support of an event the put more money in my pocket, and this could kill said event. I could be wrong tho...

I would bet a lot of money the majority of Amsterdam doesn't even know of the cup, theres what about 30 shops that enter out of 250ish, sorry but I know people think it's a big deal but it really isn't.SloWhite wrote:I find that hard to belive. Re: Strong MJ to be treated as class A drug,Dutch Govt.pla
i wrote mails to some shops. here is bulldogs answer:
We have no details on this yet. There was an article published starting that the average strains now contains above 15% THC. There is really no other news besides that. We will do some research on this and find out what is really happening.
We often get left in the dark and the media seems to know more then us at times.

Just playing Devils advocate here but perhaps a ruling such as this may cause suppliers/growers to concentrate more on quality and taste (of existing product/strains) rather than trying to concoct the latest and greatest new strains?
