We head back to the redwood forrest where are friends small town is and on the way we play a little and our friend forgot his 215 so we have to wait to check out some dispenseries. We all sort of took it easy that night because we have to partying hardy. We had a wonderful dinner that night and watched movies stoned.

On sunday We ate brownies and went on a hike in the redwoods. My friend is an avid hiker so knows the trails. When we came home we went to a place called riverbend which is a humboldt county winery. We did a tasting of the wines which combined with the treat a nibble a bit before, My head was in a good frame of mind. So now that I have built up a little tolerance I decide to go for a bigger bite and low and behold I have another wicked buzz. Hard to stand, hard to talk ect, but was in the confines of my home away from home so it went smoother. I just have to take it easy with the bites. lol. Came home and had a relaxing night. Yes cantona Im following the playoffs out here too

Today is our last full day here and I am going to be a tourist for once out here. We are going to check out some dispenseries! Will report back and I am going to try my hardest to get pics up by weds.

hi all. Just returned home after trying to find an open dispensary. Most dispensaries are down towards the bay area and south of there. Alot of growers up this way so they do not have a big need for them. So we are going to try and hit up the dispensary in Eureka tommorrow before we hit the airport. This has definately been a pot trip but different then amsterdam. Its just good to hang out with the other side (Im talking about the growers). Its alot of fun. I took some brownies with me. Wanted someone there to try the brownie if they would and give me an opinion. I just get really messed up on them, not that we all didnt just take nibbles an hour and half ago. I cant wait to post the pics for you guys.

Thanks for the write-up. Those cali redwood forests are some of the most beautiful forests on earth. It sounds like you had a great trip. (And, hey, the edibles may be almost too strong to eat, but at least you know you didn't mess up and torch any of your thc in the process )

I decided to post the cooking stuff over here also that way my trip report is all together.

SO Mr bill supervises while the prep work is done

So first we cut up the buds. Very little shake or leaves were used in this but they will work just fine. In fact the pure buds in what made these so potent. so we cut up the buds and readied them for the coffeegrinder to get it very fine.


then we weighed and measured it to 28 grams. The bowl next to the stove is what came off the tray after being ground.


Melt the butter, on in the case of oil, heat it up in a double boiler. You do not want any of the butter or oil to boil.


Add the bud and simmer for 1/12 hours for butter or 2 1/2 hours for oil. We did both
