best red lebanese hash at the moment?

I`m going on a trip to the dam in three weeks and was wondering which shops sell good red lebanes hash at the momet. i like the soft spicy-earthy tasting one - but couldn`t find it for years. so please give me some nice advice!!

Sorry to say mate but you won't find any real Red Leb outside Lebanon these days ,sadly

I had some good red leb in Harlingen... the coffeshop name was "the joker" if i remember well...

Sorry mate but you never , they may have called it that but I can guarantee it wasn't , due to conflict in the area no hash has been exported for years so unless it had been in storage for years I highly doubt it was real red Leb

Try Bluebird and Kashmir Lounge, Kashmir Lounge had red lebanon on the menu in july'11.
Real or just named as? I don't know. But it was not on former menus!

You'll see "Lebanese",but its probably grown in Morocco,these days...Not quite the same,but Paradox do a very nice Turkish

No there hasn't there are families making it again but certainly notfor export , do you mind if I ask where you read it ? Cause I read something too I just can't remember where but the gist was yeah they are making it but not for export and very secretive so I would imagine it would be nearly impossible to find even in Lebanon

As someone has mentioned there are Lebanese plants getting grown in Morocco so I presume that's where it's coming from so really not the same

don`t know if you understand the german text, but it is saying, thtin 2007 there was the biggest production since 15 years and it seems that there is a comeback of good red leb

don't know if it was real leb, but katsu had really good one for 10e/g in 2009

A coffeeshop in Groningen sells some decent-tasting Yellow Leb, but I haven't got many years of experience in smoking hash, so I don't know if any of the "Lebanese" I've sampled over the years has been the real deal. Any chance it might be? It's a decidedly different smell and texture from any Moroccan hash, with a crumbly, powdery consistency if not heated (gets a little stickier, malleable with heat), and is more potent than most Moroccans. Never seen any Red Leb on any menu here, only the Yellow (Gele Libanon).

i got the yellow lebanese in leiden last year and that was absolutely not worth the smoke. it had nothing to do with an yummy oily red leb.
hope i get some more (actual) recommendations!
