Amsterdam Nightclubs

Can anyone recommend a good nightclub in amsterdam ? Playing dance/house/trance music ?
And also what are the dress codes's like ? Would you get in with trainers?

It all depends on the type of music you like. Trance is pretty much dead here (whew) and you won't see many good trance djs unless its a big festival. Amsterdam is really a house and techno town these days with tons of local talent. Let me know what your dates are and I can make some suggestions.

Dress codes vary and most big places don't care. But if you are going to Jimmy Woo or Supperclub (where they can have great djs at times) its best to not wear sneakers.

More and more underground clubs are also popping up, they generally are not open too long and often are not advertised online.

paradisio - check to see what events are goin on before

escape (sometimes hit and miss - touristy, but sometimes music is off the hizzle!)

the sand (but its a bit away) sometimes have good dj's.
