Back from my first trip to "the 'Dam" (pics)

Well, my wife and I just got back from our first trip to the 'Dam. All I can say is "wow!" We had no idea the city was so beautiful, friendly, fun, unique, etc. We stopped by a few coffee shops and were generally pretty happy with them.
I was disappointed with the vibe inside Homegrown Fantasy. The budtender was really cool and helpful, but the "locals" that were hanging out inside weren't exactly warm and welcoming to say the least lol. We enjoyed the Bulldog although the crowd was quite a bit younger than I would have liked. I expected this though as I sort of view them as the Amsterdam coffee shop version of the Hard Rock Cafe franchise.
Our favorite shop in terms of overall fun, comfort and atmosphere was definitely the 420 Cafe (as expected). It's unfortunate that I happen to be horribly allergic to cats lol...so we couldn't stay too long. However, we really had a good time and would definitely recommend this shop to anyone who wants to listen to good classic rock and enjoy a cool, comfortable vibe without thumping house music and/or packs of annoying 18-21 year olds (no offense to the non-annoying 18-21 year olds of course).
Anyway....we had an amazing vacation. Here are a couple pics....the legendary Max the cat from the 420 Cafe and an external shot.
