November 16 - Wednesday all night long ..

Hi guys, i have a question. Can we have a fun all night long on Wednesday in Amsterdam??. We arriving on Wednesday in 2 weeks time and i read that most of coffee shops are open till 1 but we want to have a fun all night long.

We have our flight back next morning at 10.00 ( so just wondering what we can do with those few hours,) So What You Recomend to do if we arrive Wed at 16.00 and coming back next morning at 10.00 ?

Are there any any coffe shops open till morning ? or maybe night clubs ? or we have to book some hostel with smoking area - and will that mean we can spend there all night smoking ??


Please for advice as we new in town.

its gonna be our first day there as we are arriving before 6...its gonna be hard to go all night ...we will be at voyagers early around 7 or so, then at basjoe after 10 pm...gonna try to be at barneys lounge around 420 but thats up in the air at this point...have fun and maybe see ya there

Amsterdam is not an all night city and most bars/cafes close at 1 am along with the coffeeshops. If you can find a club open on a Wednesday it'll be open to 3 maybe 4 am. The Hemp Hotels bar is open to 3 am, Cafe the Bottle (next to 420) is open until 3 am and Bourbon Street is open to 4 am. You can smoke in the Hemp bar and the Bottle and outside of Bourbon.

No they all must close by 1 am by law. Don't forget to stock up!

if you can stay up till 4am or later on ur first day of arriving you are a champ.. after all the jet lag and everything else im normally out by 8pm the first night.

We will have to as we not books any hostel , or room .


How much on average cost room if we do not prebook it , just walk straight from street on tipical wednesday night . Shouldnt be much more init ?

I would deffinatly reccomend booking a hostel in advance, last time i went i booked the hostel the night before over the net and was a hell of a lot cheaper, try http://www.hostelworld.com really good for prices and rating, Where you coming from i might be in Amsterdam around the same time
