Any experiences of White Rhino ?

Post by Bilbo Baggins »

My Friend !! bought a packet of White Rhino Nirvana feminised seeds, nearly fully vegged now and looking good, but try as he might it is almost impossible to find anyone who has positive experiences of this strain in the growing sense, its supposed to be a decent smoke once you have soldiered through the fraught growing process. Commonest complaint seems to be that every plant is dramatically different and so far this seems to be the case with a nice bushy branchy one and a couple others lanky and not as advanced in the branching.

Would appreciate it if anyone has any comments on either the smoking or the growing of White Rhino, hoping for some happy news but if needed tell it like it is --ty

Smoked some in April from Solo, in my top 3 buds I smoked during that trip.

Grow wise, fuck knows, it's a White Widow cross so it should be stable enough and Nirvana is a pretty decent breeder, check Greenhouse out for grows as they have the original and dont forget Mr Nice has a version called Medicine Man, you should find some more grows with that info.

Greenhouse may own the trademark, but they cannot produce the goods.

Saying that, a friend has been disappointed with the recently available MM seeds from Mr Nice Seeds. Getting hermies from non-feminised seeds is pretty poor. Dunno if shanti has lost the parents..

If you do have any luck, please report back :)

Actually there have been no nutrients given so far, I usually allow the natural nutes in the bio bizz to do before introducing nutes at the start of flowering. some problems may be due to low temps in the attic, although Ive got the plants on heated propogator bases, I really need to know more about nutes etc, but Ive done a few grows now, never more than 3 plants, its only a 250W MH lamp, and the p-lants get transferred over to my partner who flowers them on under a 400W, things always seem to work out good in the end.

PS I'm just a guy growing weed with no basic idea of the finer scientific points, appreciate your comments and advice whether they be good or critical. The yellowing of the leaves on the above pic Ive seen before--- it appears when the plant is approaching its time in the two smaller pot sizes and also just before flowering when the plant is perhaps becoming root bound in its final 12 inch pot. So maybe i should feed during vegging, I dont know ?

Like said above, sort out your PH issues. The yellowing leaves looks to be nitrogen deficiency, as Bong said.. Good luck..

It's not PH issues , more than likely it just needs a watering/feed with a complete nutrient solution , you really don't wanna be messing with PH in soil grows as it could kill the beneficial bacteria (organic) apart from your flush/leech then it's worth PHing to 6.0

It is a good idea to add some feed in veg (depending on soil) if your vegging as long as you are (BioBizz all mix should last about 6weeks before supplementing) if your just using a non canna soil or light mix you can feed from the start , (plant start , then onto veg nutes after two weeks)

Good luck and happy growing
