Re: money exchange questions
I believe the best deal is to use an ATM card, but others from the US should know better.
There are no more Post Offices, they are all in private tabac stores so the answer to that one is no.
See you soon.

Re: money exchange questions
ATM is the way to go. Usually pay just over the interbank rate plus whatever fee your bank charges. With mine it's $1 + 1%. There is a chart on the following link http://www.flyerguide.com/wiki/index.ph ... n_Exchange

Re: money exchange questions
To exchange cash check with your hotel, they might be able to accommodate you, just be careful with store front exchanges they will advertise a low exchange rate then hit you up with fees. Banks have banker hours.

Re: money exchange questions
it may not be of use to you USBL or other americans, bu the best deal i found this weekend was thorugh some ATM machines in luton airport, which let you withdraw Euros in England.
thus you dont get the foriegn withdrawl charges, no commision was charged and you get an 'acceptable' rate.

Re: money exchange questions
Lorentz at Damrak 31 and Potts at Damrak 95 usually offer the best rate. It's also worth checking ABN AMRO, there is one before passport control at Schiphol. Whatever you don't go to GWK Travelex, complete rip off!

My last trip i went to a few diff places, What i learnd was never do it at the airport or dam square. The best deal i got was right up from the Greenhouse centrum on Damstraat..
