Think he's chopping it at the weekend , he wants me to go up wi my scope jus to check if he's hit his sweet spot (I'm presuming he will leave it longer if not) what percentage amber did you go for if any ? Will be interested to hear how it turns out , I have my order in already

I mostly chop when almost all the pistils are red with a few random amber trichs..

I grew out a Pineapple Express freebie seed that turned out almost exactly like that, maybe stayed a bit more compact. It's in my "my first grow" thread. I still have some of it left, very dense, heavy buds, and a nice smooth daytime smoke. Wish I kept it as a mom, the yield was big for it's size.

No pineapple smell though, more of a musky, peppery scent, after being in a jar more than a year.

Good luck with the Vanilla Kush, I grew out 5 in the same thread... and it's definitely a top-notch smoke...one of my favorites. I had some stretchy ones, and one that stayed really small, low yield, and turned very purple...and smelled of citrus. All 5 were quality smoke... had a friend who has been smoking for years (and didn't know I grew it) say it was the best he ever had.
