So...my solo trip is nearly here. Quiet Mon-Wed visit but any time is better than none...Staying in Haarlem going to split time between the two.
Day 1 is all about acquiring quality weed and hash and diving headlong back into the coffeeshop experience.
Planned route (from about 3pm Monday) What I'm not including are the no doubt frequent stops for food, memory gaps, walking in a random and dazed incoherence for long periods, and getting on trams just because they're there with wilful disregard for their actual destination.
But should it by some miracle go to plan then-
Start in Haarlem and have a quick buy and toke in the Willie Wortels near the station.
Train to Dam 1st stop Voyagers looking forward to seeing the refurbishment. Quality shop quality weed and service.
then cut down the canal and stop in Basjoes, more purchase, more smoking
further down head to Bushdocter, not the most wonderful den, but the Gran Daddy full butter melt is truly extraordinary. This will be saved for much later, ie when the hotel is a lot closer.
Cut across to Grey Area probably via Tweede Kamer. If GA is full (as usual) cut back to Rockland on Spui (not to buy but I do enjoy a smoke while reclining on their most comfortable cushioned seats)
Then I do believe the Doors will be my next stop as I will be pining for quality music after a sonic diet of repetitive Dutch trance. Cut over to the RLD and have a couple of smokes in Feels Good. Not nomally my type of place but it was the first coffeeshop I ever visited 15 years ago. To complete the circle back to Voyagers for a good session, then train back to haarlem, go up to Birdy, then down to near the Grote Markt, where a small coffeeshop who's name escapes my memory will prove very convenient before I stumble back to my room, red eyed and nearing collapse, for a couple of hash joints, and pass out in a blur of happy thoughts.
Day two I'll play by ear!!
Of course this list is not perscriptive, as it's always good to meet fellow travellers/locals and hang out, so whatever comes along fantastic. Anyone who's around and fancies a chilled out smoke and chat will find me most receptive.
Ok for now peace and out. Only 19 days to go...
DEC 4TH TO 6TH
Re: DEC 4TH TO 6TH
You have been posted on the December Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.
I would suggest skipping WW Sativa by the station. They have done away with the snack bar and put in vending machines. It has lost a lot of it's ambiance. Instead, go north of the station a couple blocks and visit Birdy.
