I've always been anti Bulldog due to its tourist trap nature, but as a sleeping hole with a bar at 30 euros a night I'm willing to look past there money grabbing nature.
Thanks
GREAT!
I have a thread on the forum somewhere about your point. 1st, I think perhaps there is a distinction between Bulldog Hotel and the other Bulldog establishments in that at the hotel, much less of their business traffic is public. Yes it is a hostel and some walk in business exists but, a majority of their business is booked in advance on-line.
At the Bulldog Hotel, what you give is what you get back. By this I mean, when I am polite, patient and courteous to the staff they are the same in return. Befriending them, I have come to understand the issue from their perspective. It can be very challenging to manage the multicultural clientele that frequents their establishment, particularly when
90% of them are stoned all day. Somehow, they make it work very well and there is
always a beautiful parade of stoners to watch and mingle with. Hopefully you will meet
Sandra at the front desk, she is a gem among women. When you check in, you'll get the standard credit card room key and a
hotel building pass card. Security and/or Front Desk personnel are supposed to ensure that only guests enter the building. Just having your
hotel building pass card ready when you come into the hotel will get you on the
good guest list. I have thoroughly enjoyed making it onto the list, I hope!
PS - If you like strong beer, 8.5% LaChouffe on tap @ the hotel bar, look for happy hour specials.
